This charming cottage with its uniquely European character is set in acres of unspoilt environment bordered by a thick pine forest with a panoramic view of the spectacular mountains. The forest Hill Villa is a large yet cosy hill style mansion rendered mostly in wood and stone. The villa has a terrace in the attic bedroom which offers a breath taking view of the thickly wooded valley and snow peaks. From the balcony of the villa you see far north into the Himalayan range squinting into the late afternoon sun. The valleys are contoured in fields of clover and mustard dotted with apple trees and is beautifully quiet. The house is luxuriously appointed and manages to tread the line between vacation home and hotel with such finesse that one is pleasantly muddled at the end of the day.

'Purani koti 's a quaint village located 3km off Mashobra, tucked into the Deodar forest. Its a VIP Zone where many senior Beaurocrats have there cottages. There are many forest walks in the vicinity which we recommend, for the spiritually inclined we suggest a visit to the nearby Sipur temple which incidentally couples up to be a picnic as well and is only a few minutes of drive from the villa.
Getting around
We are 16 km ahead of Shimla town in a small village called Purani Koti on Bekhalty road.
DIRECTIONS.
After you cross Shimla take the road going to Naldehra. After DHALI chownk( there is a 'Y' turn keep to your left.)on the
way to Naldehra there is a mile stone that reads, Mashobra 1km. From there on your right is a road going up towards old Mashobra. Take that road,100m
from there you will reach the old Mashobra bazaar( if you have to buy some
provisions this is the market.) Take a right turn from here on BAEKALTI
ROAD, GOING TO PURANI KOTI VILLAGE- 3 km by the meter. You will see a
Signage reading MAHASU House or Meadows, RYAT BAHRA,(follow those)after you
have done 3km take the road going down to your left. The first 02 cottages
