Amazing Beach House, Great facilities, Great location!
We stayed for 3 nights in May, at the end of a lovely visit to Pembrokeshire. Tenby Lodge was a lovely, well presented beach house with excellent facilities for families and couples. The location was amazing - a mere 50m to the beach at Freshwater East. The host, Pat, was great at communicating with us both before and after the stay. She made the stay extra special. We hope to return to the Beach House in the future, as we all, as a family, had a lovely, relaxing stay. I would highly recommend to any travellers looking for a beach side retreat.

Amazing
This was my fifth year and I’ll be going back again next, great cottage with a fantastic location just 50 yards from the beach. My 10 year old son loves it, there’s so much to do but you have to explore to get the best out of the area, try barafundle beach, stockpile, Lilly ponds, pendine and marlins for the most incredible beaches. Lots to do for kids from quad biking to heathertons park. Cottage is very clean, a good size and well equipped The owner is lovely and can’t do enough for you

Great accommodation and a lovely place to use as a base in southern Wales.
The accommodation is spacious, with a generous kitchen, living room, outside decks on two levels and two large bedrooms each with it's own bathroom. The location is close to a beautiful beach and trails for walking. Having a car is highly recommended to take in other sites in Pembrokeshire. Wifi is available for purchase, but who wants to be using wifi on holiday. Our phone carrier had poor service but using a phone wasn't a high priority. Making the booking was easy with prompt replies to all questions. We enjoyed our stay in the area and would gladly recommend Beachview 2.

Great Place & Location
We had a great vacation, and this was the perfect place for exploring the area. It's just a few steps from a huge, quiet beach where the kids could run for ages. The place was very clean and tidy. Had all the amenities we need and some useful chairs and blankets for the beach.

Cosy, clean, spacious, and classy base from which to explore pembrokes hidden treasures
We had such a lovely relaxing stay at this exceptionally located house with beautiful views overlooking the beach and sea. The accommodation was perfect with a lovely sized upstairs that had amazing views, the sitting room was cosy and the kitchen had everything one would need. The facilities were great and the location makes this our favourite holiday so far in the UK. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners who are a lovely couple that made us feel very welcome and it is these little touches that for us made our stay pure class. We will definitely be going back!

Lovely views and clean and tidy accommodation.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely house and all very clean and modern and furnished to a very good standard. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings with a glass of wine enjoying the view. Scenery around lovely. Very close to the beach with views over it. We visited Tenby which was lovely and also Carew Castle. Also we found some nice local pubs for a drink and food. We recommend a visit to Cwym Deri Vineyard. We had a lovely wine-tasting session there. They specialise in country wines such as strawberry, elderflower, birch etc. They also have a nice restaurant. This part of Wales is very nice and we would certainly stay in this accommodation again. Gail Fox

Great for beach holiday and as a base for the area of South Pembrokeshire
We went there for a mid week break, for two of us, a first on Welsh soil. We chose Freshwater east as the picture of the beach and the proximity to other places of interest such as Pembroke, Pembroke Dock, Bosherston lily ponds and Barafundle Bay really appealed. From both points of view it was just perfect. The accommodation itself was average-the lack of free wifi and hot water in the kitchen and hand basins and the weak water pressure in the shower were minuses. The two bathrooms were good-though only one had a shower and the other had a bath. The views of the beach from the top balcony gave us a great spot to enjoy our meals. The kitchen was well equipped, though an outside bbq would make it even better! The on site convenience shop and restaurant were closed without explanation-making it necessary to trek further afield for basics such as milk and bread. Overall the stay was pleasant and a really good base to explore the many beautiful unspoilt attractions of the area.

We were disappointed we were given an average as Beachview has just been newly decorated with new comfy sofas, and new dining table. Due to its location free Wifi in Beachview is not possible (no telephone connection), but there is a wifi signal which is chargeable. There is also free Wifi in the area and this was offered. I am very surprised that you say there was no hot water. I had asked if everything was ok, both in an email and also when I called around the next day and I do not know why you did not mention this as it could have been sorted out so easily. I did notice that the hot water tank had not been switched on for the whole stay. Detailed instructions for this were given in the letter I had sent out at the time of booking. There was also a copy of the instructions in the small booklet left on the Coffee Table. The switch for the hot water tank was easily located in the hot water tank cupboard in the ground floor cloakroom. I also noticed that the dials on the shower had been altered to the highest heating setting and the pressure set to the lowest setting. The shower settings had been set for maximum pressure with hot water. Guests are able to alter the settings to suit. Again, this was not mentioned when we spoke. All this could have been sorted out in an instance, if I had known. We are in the process of building an outside barbeque in the small garden. We pride ourselves in making sure all our guests have the best holiday experience ever and wanting to return. After speaking with you I felt sure you that you had had a wonderful time, sadly in this instance, this appears not to be the case.

About the neighbourhood
BEACH AND SURROUNDING AREAIt is about 150 m to the beautiful long sandy beach. The National Trust Footpath is only 100 m away. From the coastal path there are the most fantastic views over the bay and coastline. From the coastal path you can walk to lots of secluded beaches including Barafundle Bay at Stackpole. Behind the beach is an area called Freshwater Burrows where you can walk and explore. The views from here are amazing over the beach and coastline. Just by the National Park car park is a nature reserve where you can walk and maybe get a glimpse of some of the birds and wildlife in the area. There is a restaurant/ bar on site open 11 months of the year There are grassy areas all around the park where the children can play safely. .
Getting around
The best way to get around is by car. Locally there is a seasonal bus that takes you partly around the coast to the villages and to Pembroke and Pembroke Dock. There is also a Ferry service at Pembroke Dock where you can go to Ireland for the day. At Freshwater East there are Coastal paths which take you to Swanlake Bay (2 miles) Manorbier 3.5 miles and in the other direction Stackpole Quay (2 miles), Barafundle Bay (2.5 miles) and Bosherston about 3 miles. At Bosherston there are the famous lily ponds and it is a pleasant 3/4 mile walk down to Broadhaven sands. At Lamphey (2 miles ) There is a train service and you could park the car and pop into Tenby for the day on the train.

How to get there
The best way to get here to Freshwater East is by car. There are good road links, The M4 which from East to West starting at just outside London across to Swansea which then links up with the M48 and then A48 and then the coastal road down to the resort. The M4 interconnects with the M5 from the North down to the South of the UK.There is a train station about 2 miles away at Lamphey and then you will need to get a taxi down to Freshwater Bay. There is a local coastal bus which travels around the area stopping off at the local beaches and towns of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock.
