Idyllic cottage in Freshwater East
We stayed at Broadhaven cottage for our family holiday in August. From the minute we arrived, we could not have been made to feel more welcome. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, inside and out and Pam amd Graham go out of their way to ensure you have the perfect stay. Freshly picked flowers, freshly baked welsh cakes and welcome basket to the perfectly clean cottage throughout, all of which make a perfect start to the holiday. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy a home from home stay. The extensive garden is amazing, especially if you have young children with the games area. It is the most peaceful, tranquil place, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There is also lots of wildlife to enjoy, we saw a fox in the garden compost patch while we were eating tea! The cottage is the perfect location for exploring pembrokeshire but our favourite was the quiet beach at Freshwater East itself. The left side is much quieter which we preferred, but the far side has Jack's bar if you fancy lunch or a drink. We also explored Broadhaven beach which was so picturesque. We spent Sunday in Tenby where they hold the summer extravaganza and watched fireworks over the harbour but it does get busy and if you are hoping to eat out on this day I would definitely recommend booking in advance. The weather couldn't have been better for us so we had no need to travel elsewhere as our beach was perfect for those hot sunny days but we have already booked to return next year where we will probably venture further afield to explore some of the places suggested by graham. The information pack and leaflets inside the cottage offer lots of ideas and tips on places to visit and Graham's map is a huge help if you want to avoid some of the smaller country lanes! I cannot recommend this place enough, though I would rather keep it to ourselves to ensure we can visit again!!! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage and we hope to see you next year!!

Cosy, warm and comfortable, great location
Lovely cottage just like a home from home, with hosts Graham and Pam who genuinely wanted us to have a wonderful time. We were appreciative of the little touches given. Location was fantastic for peace and quiet, just birdsong could be heard, but we were within 5 mins walk of the headland and beach at Freshwater East. When it re-opens the pub is even within walking distance and does serve food. This cottage is perfectly placed if you like beaches, Broad Haven, Freshwater East and Stackpole. Great if you are a National Trust member! For something different a walk through the lily ponds at Bosherston is good or the Walled Garden at Lamphey. Had the weather been better we would have enjoyed sitting in the garden to enjoy our glass of wine in the evening.

Lovely location and cottage
What a fantastic place to stay to enjoy a week near the coast. Upon arrival, we found fresh flowers, fruit and welsh cakes. I'd never had welsh cakes before and they were delicious. The cottage is based in a little village next to main house, where the owners live and is surrounded by fields. Its so peaceful, you can't even hear the birds first thing in the morning. The cottage itself has everything you need, from a comfy bed, to a shower that is powerful. (Key things for us) The location was a 10 min walk to the beach, where we were able to walk different coastal paths. We also walked to Lamphrey, to catch the train to Tenby which took 20 mins. There is lots of places of interest near Freshwater East, Pembroke Castle, Carew Castle, various beaches, Tenby, unfortunately alot of places were closed due to Covid but it didn't bother us as we had plenty to do. There is a pub close by which is a 10 mins walk and a fantastic chip shop called Rowlies in Pembroke, only a 20 min drive away. Their food was cooked fresh amd tasted amazing. There is another village pub, called Stackpole inn which does amazing food too, only a 10 min drive, Definitelya place to go and eat. We had such an amazing time and would definitely recommend staying here, to anyone who wants peace and quiet, while still close to lots of things to do.

A very relaxing stay
We spent a week at Broadhaven Cottage. The setting, in the small hamlet of houses known as Lake, was very much away from things, behind fields that separate it from Freshwater East. The garden is fantastic - a swing, football net and even a 5 hole putting course! We didn't use the garden as much as we could have done because we were all exhausted after a day at the beach. The inside was small, but very very well thought through and practical - including plenty of storage space and hooks on doors - little things that make a difference. Beds were comfortable, TV simple to use and worked well. A very well stocked library of DVDs. We would recommend. Thank you Graham.

Just what we wanted
Since we know the area well - my wife was born nearby - the local amenities were already familiar. But it provided an excellent base for visiting old friends and walking part of the coastal path.

Comfortable cottage great location. Excellent Hosts.
This is a lovely cottage with great space outdoors for the children to play. Beach location is a walk away or you can drive a short distance for other beaches in the area. There is lots of different attractions around this area of Wales and most within a 30 minuet Drive. Our favorite is Folly Farm!. Pam and Graham are fantastic Hosts and listen very much to any suggestions you feel may improve the visit for other vacationers. This cottage is adequately furnished and if like us you tend to eat in more than out the kitchen is very well equipped. On arrival we had a very warm welcome and some lovely Welsh cakes in a tin and pint of milk in the fridge with tea/coffees etc already available.

Silence and nature for beach holiday
Location is very silent and within Nature. The small cottage is very cosy and nice with a very good garden to sit in the sunshine or under the tree on the lawn. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Big sand beach is within twenty minutes walking distance. Nice for small family.

Tolle Wohnung, super freundliche Vermieter!
