Overview
Cottage -
3 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 6
Clonbur, County Galway, Western Ireland
Radharc na Sleibhte (Irish for 'Mountain View') is located in the pretty village of Clonbur on the Galway/Mayo border, two minutes from Lough Corrib to the south and Lough Mask to the north. This is our own holiday home, newly built in 2007. It is a modern, comfortable, three bedroom cottage with two large balconies to the rear overloooking magnificent Mount Gable. No better place to enjoy your morning coffee and paper, or simply read your book and relax.

On the doorstep there are shops, pubs and restaurants in this relaxed yet busy little village. Woods, rural walking paths, country lanes, and scenic views are all within walking distance.

Alternatively, the cottage is ideally located for exploring the Connemara countryside, the lakes and mountains of Joyce's Country, and the towns of Mayo and Galway.

With two double room...

About the neighbourhood
Clonbur (Irish - An Fhairche) is in part of the Gaeltacht or Irish-speaking region of North Connemara.
There are two good restaurants/pubs in the village, and a very good local shop / pub - so you can eat out and have a drink, and not worry about having to get a taxi home. Mount Gable gifts/ coffee shop is next door, and the hairdresser is across the road.

Lough Corrib and Lough Mask have earned worldwide recognition from anglers and fishermen and Clonbur is centrally located for both lakes. Explore the lakeshores, take a cruise, visit the numerous islands on Lough Corrib - 'there is one for every day of the year'. If you're feeling adventurous, Petersburgh Activity Centre on Lough Mask offers sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and caving.
