We have created a comfortable and luxurious Chambres d'Hotes that sits on the edge of the charming village of Puivert in Occitanie, a little-known warm and sunny region of southwest France. Enjoying a peaceful setting by the swimming lake with the backdrop of the Château de Puivert and the sweeping foothills of the Pyrenees, the property is only a few minutes’ gentle walk from the village centre and the choice of seasonal restaurants and bars. There are 3 bedrooms, two doubles and one family room that sleeps up to four people (two adults, two children recommended). Our Family Room can accommodate two children in the single beds plus a baby under two years in a cot, available available if requested in advance. Pets - are very welcome but only with our advance knowledge and agreement and please be aware there is an ADDITIONAL FEE of 15 euros per night, per pet (maximum two pets), to be paid directly on arrival. We reserve the right to refuse pets when guests HAVE NOT notified us in advance that they are bringing them with them.

Beautiful views, excellent hosts!

About the neighbourhood
Even if your stay is only a short one, there is still much to do and see here. If you like history then a visit to the Château and Musée du Quercorb in the village are both interesting. During July and August you can enjoy the midweek night markets by the lake with food and drink stalls, music and dancing late into the evening, plus halfway through the season the market has a spectacular shoreline firework display, a truly ‘must see’ event if you are here then. Otherwise, no matter what day of the week it is, there is a market somewhere nearby, or there are some wonderful walks and bike trails, plus other historic places in easy reach of us and of course some great vineyards in the surrounding area.

Nearest airports are Carcassone (one hour) Toulouse (1.5 hours) and Perpignan (1.5 hours).
