A farmhouse nearby the ruins of the ancient city of Filakopi, where the guests can enjoy the gentle and relaxing sound of reeds and sea waves. House Structure Casa Filakopi is a farm house of 3.5 acre of cultivated fields and about 0.5 acre of house facilities. Its history begins back in 1920 and during the last 2 years has been totally renovated, retaining its unique traditional old style features combined with modern amenities (and of renovation 23/07/17). The facility has a very playful feel and it consists of two main rooms which can be isolated from each other, a W.C , an exterior kitchen and an exterior bathroom. In each of these rooms air conditioning is included. The W.C. has its own shower and can easily serve basic needs of our visitors, yet for those who prefer to enjoy their shower, while gazing the landscape, there is an exterior bathroom. An excellent combination of simplicity, elegance and comfort. A traditional “rustic” oven, which has been restored to a fully equipped kitchen, is right next to the main rooms with independent yard. The kitchen comes along with a wooden exterior table and a built-in six-person seat. An ideal spot for having breakfast, lunch or dinner. The courtyard of the place provides its guests with a beautiful and peaceful view of the fields, the dry river beneath the house and the sea sight on the horizon. Cool off spots For those who like to lay and swing there is a hammock at the lower garden. About the neighbourhood
Casa Filakopi stands alone, almost hidden, totally surrounded by silence and sounds of nature. Your privacy will not be interrupted by anyone and anything. At the same time, you will be 2,5 km away from Apollonia, one of the most famous traditional villages of Milos (well known for its restaurants, cafés and easy going atmosphere). You will also find yourself very near to all the northern beaches of Milos, such as Papafragas ,Capros , Mytakas , Pachena , Sarakiniko , Kastanas.
How to get there
At the day of your arrival, transportation to the house can be available to you by your host , with a small fee of 10 euro, and if needed, you will be taken downtown for renting a car or a scooter something that its strongly recommended. A taxi ride can also be available with a 15 e fee.There is also a bus station at about 1-1,5 kilom. away but its not recommended especially if you have luggage
