Holiday Rental House
The Doghouse is the converted kennel of a victorian shooting lodge in North Wales. Situated overlooking a small stream you can sit on the cane chairs on the veranda or relax in the hot tub whilst listening to the water and the birdsong in the surrounding trees. It is ideally situated less than a mile from Offa's Dyke for exploring either the roman city of Chester with its unique racecourse and unusual shops in the covered rows, or North Wales with its many castles, beaches, mountains or quaint market towns such as Ruthin. Whether you would like to spend your time on a high adrenaline adventure at one of North Wales' many venues or simply walk across the neighbouring grouse moor and enjoy the awe inspiring views, The Doghouse has something for everyone....The Doghouse is the converted kennel of a victorian shooting lodge in North Wales. About the neighbourhood
The Dog House is on the outskirts of the village of Llandegla an old drovers village in North Wales. There are many activities locally from the One Planet Adventure Mountain bike centre to Llandegla Laser Combat centre. The nearby towns of Ruthin, Llangollen, Corwen and Mold have many attractions and activities from the Craft Centre in Ruthin to the Steam Railway in Llangollen.
Getting around
There is very little public transport in the area. The nearest railway station is about 9 miles away in Wrexham. The nearest bus stop is one and a half miles away at the end of the lane. The nearest airport is Liverpool or Manchester (about the same distance) We have had guests arrive by taxi from Wrexham having caught the train up from London but if you do this don’t forget to bring supplies as the nearest shop is three miles away and the pub is two miles.
