The Gardener's Cottage is a beautiful, newly renovated, cottage with its own private garden. It has 17th Century charm with the convenience & comfort of modern fittings. It is an ideal location for couples, families, walkers, cyclists or business colleagues. Next door is The Old Stable - which may also be of interest when the Gardener's Cottage is unavailable. You can search for it separately. We are located on the edge of the Chilterns, in a picturesque rural setting yet with easy access to London (train 35mins from Marylebone), the M40 (15 minutes) and Heathrow / Luton airport. The cottage sits in 18 acres of private grounds, providing a wonderful escape from daily bustle. The cottage sits in 18 acres of private grounds, providing a wonderful escape from daily bustle. The Ridgeway and the Chiltern Way both pass through our fields and hence you are immediately linked into the network of national footpaths - either up to the beech woods or across the Aylesbury Vale. Alternatively, you have a private garden in which you can sit and relax. Princes Risborough, a small market town, provides our closest facilities, but Thame and High Wycombe are only 10 minutes away. Oxford, Henley and Marlow are all within half an hour - as is Bicester Village. There are fantastic places to eat locally - The Mash Inn & The Charles Napier both on our doorstep, or there is a fully equipped kitchen and local farm shops from which to buy food. We can provide luxury homemade breakfast hampers if you wish. We've lived in the area for 16 years, with our four kids, and can happily give you advice on the best places in the area. More

About the neighbourhood
We are located two miles from the market town of Princes Risborough, in a rural setting. The Chiltern's contain fabulous walking. Both The Ridgeway and The Chiltern Way pass through our fields, so you are ideally situated to enjoy the vast network of Public Footpaths. The Phoenix Trail, a traffic free cycle route, can be accessed less than two miles away and provides a family friendly cycle ride to Thame. For those who appreciate fine dining, we are extremely close to both The Charles Napier and The Mash Inn. Further afield are Le Manoir aux Quat'Saison and The Crazy Bear. There are also many slightly lower key pubs with a more every day offering - many of which can form part of a circular walk direct from the cottage.
Getting around
Princes Risborough station is less than 2 miles away. There is a bus less than a mile away that will take you to Risborough or High Wycombe. Hence, if you come here as a commuter to and from London, or to walk or cycle, you can easily manage without a car. Oxford, London, Bicester Village and Birmingham are all easily reached via train. However, for those staying longer, who want to explore further afield, you would be better to have a car.
