The West Wing is part of Fronfraith Hall (see wikipedia and facebook); a large country house built in 1863 and was the family home of the renowned Canadian novelist and playwright Robertson Davies (also see wikipedia). It is set amongst the idyllic splendor of the Mid Wales Hills on the Shropshire border, located close to the historic and attractive border towns of Montgomery, Welshpool, Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

The West Wing at Fronfraith Hall is a perfect setting for families or couples for holidays, short stays and weekend breaks at anytime throughout the year. It is especially idyllic during the summer months and during the Christmas/New Year period.

Fronfraith Hall is located on a hill side 1.5 miles outside the village of Abermule. The village lies just off the A483 between Welshpool and Newtown.

To reach Abermule on the A483 from the North, via Welshpool, follow the signs to Newtown and take the sign to Abermule on your left hand side. If driving from A483 South, via Newtown, take the sign to Abermule on your right hand side (If driving from the South/East on the A489 via Churhstoke/Craven Arms, follow the signs for Newtown/Kerry then take a right hand turn onto the B4368 for Abermule but take the right hand turn to Cefn-y-Coed immediately before the railway crossing and proceed as below)
