Our 4 story stone mill is on an island in The Salmon River between 2 waterfalls only 6 minutes from the 401 hwy. Boats/bicycles and outdoor all season hot tub are all included in your stay. We also offer you a complimentary Park Pass from May 1 -October 31 for use at several Provincial Parks including Sandbanks.(min one day) We are a quick drive to Prince Edward County, Kingston and the Quinte area. ROOM AMENITIES of THE COUNTRY SUITE: You will enjoy a lovely, comfortable and tastefully decorated suite with a self-contained kitchenette and a four piece ensuite. The kitchenette includes a fridge, food storage and prep area, microwave, toaster/convection oven, induction hot plate, french press coffee maker, tea pot, a selection of teas, coffee, all pots and pans, utensils, etc for light cooking. The suite has a French bedroom set with a queen size bed, Tempurpedic memory foam mattress just perfect for falling asleep to the sound of the waterfalls outside your window and top quality bedding. Toiletries, bath robes and towels are provided. The Country Suite has antiques, an electric fireplace, oak floors, carpeting and hand sewn silk lampshades. WIFI is available for checking e-mails etc. Due to our location, we are unable to offer our guests unlimited WIFI and therefore streaming of live media is not available. There are movie channels on the t.v. SPRING AND SUMMER AT THE MILL: You have full access to our patio by the waterfalls, kayaks, a canoe, peddleboat and touring bicycles during the warmer months and a riverside hot tub under the stars all at no extra charge. With waterfront on three sides, you'll likely want to spend some time on the river. Boats are provided from May until Thanksgiving weekend. The outdoor patio by the river has comfortable padded swivel chairs as well as a barbeque. Enjoying nature is the main occupation here. Sitting by the waterfalls, paddling up the river by canoe, kayak or peddle boat, relaxing in the hot tub or touring the countryside by bicycle are all at your fingertips during your stay. You can also enjoy a refreshing swim in the waterfalls. A waiver must be signed prior to using the facilities due to the inherent dangers associated with being near the water. We live in the very picturesque historic hamlet of Lonsdale which has been the subject of many artists and photographers. The river is part of an historic canoe route and many enthusiasts brave the rapids in May. The river quietens come June for relaxing paddles. It is the river that gives this place it's magical vibe and brings the wildlife in abundance for our pleasure. Great Blue Herons, Song Birds, Eagles, Otters, Beavers, Muskrats, Geese, Ducks, Swans, Turtles, song birds and many others are all happy to call Lonsdale home or stop by to say hi. You never know who is going to drop by next. The grounds are full of flowers and birds and the sound of the waterfalls makes this an ideal spot to just kick back and enjoy. FREE PROVINCIAL PARKS PASS INCLUDED SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. FALL AND WINTER AT THE MILL: Enjoy the outdoor all season hot tub under the stars by the river and waterfall. If the pond is frozen, bring your skates, snowshoes or cross country skis for fun right outside the back door. There are also several nearby cross country ski locations, walking trails, first class performances at Belleville's Empire and Kingston's Grand Theatre and many other seasonal attractions in our area during the cooler months. You will find a casual, relaxed and friendly atmosphere here. We are usually around on the weekends and during the week in the evenings and will interact as much or as little as you prefer. Your private 575 square foot suite is on the second floor of our home, the mill, so we use a shared entrance to the main house. We encourage you to bring your own food and prepare light meals in your private kitchenette, as the closest restaurants and shops are 15 minutes away. You may also use the outdoor barbeque. Regular and specialty teas, french press coffee, bottled water, milk, cream, sugar and honey are always available in your room. We also provide the little things for cooking that are difficult to transport such as cooking oil and spices. You are welcome to pick fresh herbs and salad greens from our organic vegetable gardens in the summer months. There is WiFi available for checking e-mails etc. We do not have access to unlimited internet so streaming and downloading movies is not available, however, there are free movie channels on the television. If golfing is your thing, there is a course 10 minutes up the road and several others a short drive away. We are located 2 hours east of Toronto just 6 minutes from the 401. Prince Edward County is 10 minutes to the south, Kingston is 35 minutes east and Belleville is 25 minutes west. Kingston and The Thousand Islands, Prince Edward County Wineries and it's many Fine Restaurants and Sandbanks Provincial Park are all in a day's outing. More

About the neighbourhood
We are located in a small hamlet called Lonsdale on an island in the Salmon River 2 hours east of Toronto just 6 minutes north of the 401. Picton is 30 minutes to the south, Kingston is 35 minutes east and Belleville is 25 minutes west. Kingston and The Thousand Islands, Prince Edward County Wineries and Sandbanks Provincial Park are all in easy access for a day's outing.
How to get there
Address is 1062 Marysville Road, Marysville, Ontario. K0K 2N0. From Toronto, take 401 East to Marysville Exit 566. From Montreal, take 401 West to Marysville Exit 566. Head north off the exit ramp to the T in the road. Turn right at the T, you will still be on Marysville Road, which is actually an extension of Hwy 49 which goes south from the 401 to Picton. Now make the first left hand curve in the road, which is still Marysville Rd. You will come in to the hamlet of Lonsdale by just following the road. We are the large stone house on the right between the two one lane bridges.
