This property enjoys a quiet village location between the coast lie overlooking Morecambe Bay and the stunning scenery of the Lake District National Park. Just four miles from the property is the well-loved village of Cartmel,somewhat of a destination for foodies,thanks to the well-regarded restaurants and excellent independent food shops,including a specialist cheese shop and a village store which is famous for its sticky toffee pudding. The village is also home to Cartmel Racecourse: the location for the UK’s shortest steeplechase. To the south of the property the town of Grange-over-Sands is a lovely place to spend a day with its famous promenade offering far-reaching views over Morecambe Bay. A trip to Lake Windermere is not to be missed,and is within easy reach,at just six miles away... In the main space of this dual-aspect room,the lounge and dining areas offer comfortable sofa-seating,a Smart TV,and iPod docking station,and is given an attractive rustic feel thanks to the rough-rendered walls,wood burner,and exposed beams,as well as the sound of the trickling waterfall that once powered the mill. The kitchen area,meanwhile,is equipped with an oven,hob,microwave,fridge/freezer,and washer/dryer. The bedroom,a restful king-size,is located across the hall from the kitchen,and offers its own TV. The bathroom has a shower over bath and WC. There is no garden as such,but there is a bench positioned just by the front door of the cottage which makes a pleasant spot to sit with a quiet cup of coffee in the morning. There is private off-road parking available for one car. More
