The fully fitted kitchen diner is well equipped and has a large table that can seat up to 7 guests. Woodland Cottage has 4 guest bedrooms that are all bright and airy, some of the bedrooms benefit from exposed beams and timbers. The shower room is fitted with a tiled shower cubicle with power-shower, a hand basin and w.c. The bathroom has a bath with power-shower over, a hand basin and a w.c. Woodland Cottage has a gravelled driveway that provides off-road parking for two/three cars. Free complimentary Wi-Fi is available. Long Compton lies at the northern edge of the Cotswold escarpment in South Warwickshire. It nestles in the valley of a tributary to the river Stour. As its name suggests, it is linear in form, stretching for almost a mile along the main road with spurs of development, principally on one side. Long Compton is known for its pretty thatched cottages, warm Cotswold stone walls, ancient church with an unusual lychgate, and above all for its glorious countryside. It is within the boundary of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Beauty and much of the village is protected by conservation area status. The Village is well situated to visit local towns of historic and special interest such as Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Shipston-on-Stour, Startford-upon-Avon & Stow-on-the-Wold, and also to enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside including the Macmillan Way, and Shakespeare Way. Long Compton remains essentially a farming community. The countryside and landscapes are highly valued by all who are lucky enough to live here. Long Compton is a village and parish in South Warwickshire. It is part of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has many of the characteristics of a typical Cotswold village - thatched limestone cottages, medieval church, pretty hedge-rowed lanes leading out to gentle green hills. It is a lovely place to live and visit and is fortunate to be positioned within easy reach of both Oxford and Stratford upon Avon, as well as all of the well-known attractions in the Cotswolds itself - the Neolithic stone circle - the Rollright Stones - is within walking distance.More
