This annexe with its stylish interior, elegant fireplace, and mezzanine master bedroom, is the perfect retreat for couples looking to enjoy a relaxing break. Ilminster is a very attractive town with a good variety of shops, a market square and a popular theatre and arts centre, and there is plenty to see and do in all directions from this special holiday cottage. Guests can relax and eat in a courtyard or the attractive terraced gardens, from where there are views of the beautiful countryside surrounding the town. Nearby are several National Trust properties including Barrington Court, Montacute House and Tintinhull with its pretty garden, and the Somerset Levels are only a short drive away. The Retreat is ideally situated in Somerset, but just over the border are also the treasures of East Devon and North Dorset too with their quaint villages and stunning countryside. Access to the property is via the owner's hallway to the courtyard. From courtyard 13 steps lead up to sliding front door. Entrance lobby With door leading to back garden. Kitchenette With slow cooker, microwave, kettle and toaster. Please note that there is no cooker/oven. Shower room With shower cubicle, wash basin, WC and heated towel rail. Bedroom two With single bed. From entrance lobby to the right, four steps into an-open plan dining area and sitting room. Next to these steps a fitted wardrobe with hanging space and hangers. Dining area With dining table and three chairs. A collection of games and books. Sitting area With impressive open fire, a two seater sofa, armchair and ottoman. Smart TV and collection of books. Staircase with 11 steps and handrail leading to mezzanine level Bedroom one With double bed, bedside table and chest of drawers. Double aspect windows with beautiful views of the garden and church tower. From the staircase a door leading to the terraced garden. Outside: A terraced garden with outstanding views from the very top. The garden is used at your own risk. Children need to be supervised. On street parking. A garage for a small/medium car may be available upon request, prior to your stay, for a small additional charge. Additional Information: Infants and older children aged 5 years and older are welcome due to the stairs and open fire place inside the property and the steps outside in the terraced garden. Please supervise children at all times whilst in the garden. A high chair and travel cot are available upon request. Please bring your own cot linen. Sorry, no pets. Mobile reception is patchy in the annexe, however good in the garden. WiFi is available for recreational purposes only. The speed/service may vary from time to time. Should guests experience difficulties or loss of use, neither the owner nor Dorset Hideaways will be held responsible.
