As well as walking, there are lots of other activities to do in the area including: cycling; sailing; canoeing; archery; and pony trekking at nearby Rookin House. Stairs lead to a spacious open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room with feature A-frame beams with wooden and tiled floors (TV with Sky Freeview and DVD, Wi-Fi). There are French doors which lead out onto the patio area with views of open farmland and fells in the distance. Outside: Patio with garden furniture and lovely views of surrounding countryside. Parking for two cars immediately outside the front door. Pub 2 minutes walk. We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful cottage. It is exceptionally clean and very well equipped, with extremely comfortable beds. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay again.
