- What a find! From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the whole experience. The Lodge is just beautiful and we felt like we were staying with dear friends. Greg and Peter were so attentive, kind and nothing was too much trouble. They made fantastic recommendations for where to eat and Peter created the most beautiful breakfasts I have ever seen. Greg met us when we arrived and put us totally at ease and was hilarious! The Lodge is in a great position and there's a lovely walk into Russell. The house was beautifully decorated and there was the most soothing music playing occasionally downstairs. Loved that it was a bit quirky!! Most of all, loved those guys. Will never forget our stay with them. It's the best!

Beautiful rooms, and Peter's breakfast's were outstanding- sitting on the terrace with that wonderful view. Our only regret- we should have stayed longer! Thankyou Greg and Peter.

@jandF5654YNReviewed May 2024 - Greg and Peter are amazing hosts. They really care about the guests and the history of Arcadia Lodge. As we arrived, Greg welcomed us and gave us a short tour of the Lodge and told us its interesting past (like: more than hundred years ago the building was built on whale spine bones). As they are wine lovers, they offer a selected wine bar at the guest's disposal too. The Lodge is situated in a nice, quite town in the Bay of Islands with views other one of the harbors and with good restaurants (with great recommendations from the hosts). By ferry you can reach Pahia in 15 minutes. The cozy room was very clean, furnished in an old Victorian style with wooden floors, a patio and a comfortable bed. Another really nice surprise was the amazing freshly made breakfast, which Peter served each morning with muesli with fresh fruits, juices, hot breakfast like eggs benedict on avocado mousse, toast with homemade jam from the garden etc., it was really yummy. We would highly recommend Arcadia Lodge and would love to come again.
