Buses

Once you arrive on the island there is a bus stop at the front of the terminal. You can buy an all day bus pass for unlimited travel or you can just by a ticket each time you use the bus.

Mini Moke Hire

Scooter/Moped Hire & Motorbikes

Scooter Hire is available from Coral Sea Sports located at Base Backpackers in Nelly Bay. Phone 1800 890 464  OR  Road Runner Scooter Hire - Phone 07 47 785 222 for a free pickup from the ferry terminal or your accommodation.

These are a fun way to get around the island and cater for most people and most levels of co-ordination. Scooters are limited to some areas they can access, the same as the mokes and cars, but these are a lot more fun.
