Rockland, Maine has flourished into "the hippest little city in Maine" over the years.  You will LOVE the downtown area.

The Farnsworth Art museum is a destination location for many people around the world, as well as the Wyeth Museum....both are downtown Rockland.  There are many restaurants, art galleries and shops to visit.

The ferry terminal is downtown as well and will take you to some quaint islands for the day or overnight.  Take a ride around the harbor on the floating restaurant, or go for a day sail on one of the windjammers.  Once you park your car you can walk to wherever your heart desires.

Don't miss out on taking a walk on the boardwalk that leads you around Rockland Harbor.

There are many wonderful places to stay within walking distance of the downtown.  The Captain Lindsey Inn, The Limerock Inn, Berry Manor Inn, the Navigator Motel and Trade Winds Motor Inn are a few that come to mind.

Favorite restaurants are Amalfi's, The Black Bull, Mirandas and The Brown Bag, but there are many more to choose from!  Rockland Cafe is probably the best place for breakfast.

Coming for a wedding and need vendors?  You want your hair done by Crystal at Seaside Salon 207-596-5578, your makeup done by Mary Louise Carpenter 207-594-5612, your cake by Grande Finale Cakes , your flowers by Andrus 207-594-4033 and your nails at Tropical Nails (a little further up Rt. 1 North) 207-236-2073.

The Lobster Festival and Blues Festival are also held each summer on the harbor and you will need to make reservations EARLY because thousands of people from all over the place come here for that!!  See you in Rockland!!
