One sight a Key Largo vacationer must see at least once is a tropical sunset at sea. Key Largo is known for it's diving and water adventures, but one sunset can provide memories of a lifetime. There are plenty of restaurants that boast the greatest views; however, aboard a boat is the best spot if you ask any local captain. There are very few places that offer such an excursion A few catamarans operate out of Key Largo and Islamorada. Catamarans are nice because you get the smooth ride of two hulls instead of one rocking back and forth on a smaller boat. (Sea sickness is not fun.) The sailing catamarans in Key Largo offer complementary champagne and rum punch which is the perfect romantic and/or relaxing experience. (Key Largo is much less crowded and a lot better priced than Key West!) The catamarans are Reef Roamer or Quicksilver and they are located by the Holiday Inn at mile marker 100 or at post card inn at mile marker 84. Island Time Cruises, 305-453-0001, they offer two
hour sunset cruises Friday and Saturday nights. They have two bars
onboard and a DJ and dance floor.
