Rehoboth Beach is most definitely a summertime beach resort. It is during the warmer months that tourists visit the area to enjoy its beaches, walk along the boardwalk, play golf and fish. During the summer, the weather can get quite warm, hitting almost 100 degrees F at times during June, July, and August. The autumn and spring are also fantastic seasons to visit Rehoboth. In the fall, the ocean temperatures are often as warm or warmer than August, and the air temperature can be in the seventies or eighties. Plus, there are far fewer crowds and more bargains to be found. In contrast, during the winter the temperatures at Rehoboth Beach can plummet down below freezing, and it is during this time that many of the area's attractions and stores are closed for the season.
