Central Pier has arcade games & outdoor go-Karts [off~season, they open on sunny days w/temp above freezing]
A fun thing to do is to ride a bike on the Atlantic City boardwalk in the morning. Bicycles are allowed on the Boardwalk from 6:30 am to noon from September 16th to May 14th. During the busiest warm weather months bike riding on the Boardwalk is allowed every morning 6:30 am to 10 am, May 15 to September 15 The boardwalk rentals are B&K Bike rentals: http://www.atlanticcitynj.com/explore... B & K Bike Rental, Inc. N Carolina Ave & Boardwalk [Resorts] 609-344-8008 and they've reopened their bicycle rentals at Tropicana too [Yay!]
There is another seasonal bike rental in Gardner's Basin at WebFeet WaterSports. The upside of WebFeet WaterSports is they rent a bike for $25 for 24hours, so you can take advantage of the expanded off~season boardwalk biking hours, they also offer hourly rental just like the boardwalk http://www.webfeetbeachboutique.com/

The Pier attached to Caesar's is called The Playground http://www.theplaygroundatlanticcity.... it has shops, bars, restaurants, a catering hall with fabulous views, + 3rd floor views for everyone and The Quarter at Tropicana, http://www.tropicana.net/the-quarter the Atlantic City Aquarium http://www.oceanlifecenter.com/ The lighthouse http://www.abseconlighthouse.org Lucy the Elephant http://www.lucytheelephant.org
To explore outside the city, here is a nearby suggestion: Smithville is a short drive of 10+ miles to Historic Smithville [EZ directions: Showboat is on Delaware Ave, take Delaware Ave out of AC [turns into Rt 30 aka White Horse Pike], follow to Shore Road in Absecon [aka Rt 9] and make right [You will see Black Cat Tavern on corner] and will see signs for Edwin B Forsythe and Smithville respectively [can't miss 'em] http://www.smithvillenj.com/ It is a village of unique shops with loose chickens, ducks, geese. There is a pond on-site that has pedal boat rentals & radio-controlled toy boat rentals [warm weather]. Fred & Ehtel's has american fare at reasonable prices - this is especially a plus as it LOOKS like a pricey tourist trap, however the shops are quite affordable.
And Edwin B Forsythe Wildlife area http://www.fws.gov/refuge/edwin_b_for... and https://www.facebook.com/ForsytheNWR Forsythe has an 8 mile wildlife drive with 2 observation towers that have free binoculars. They brag about their AC skyline view... but it seems out-of-character for a wildlife refuge. Admission is $4 and inculdes all car occupants If you want to do all 3, this can be an all day excursion and is REALLY close to AC.
