If you are in Ghana, a visit to the W.E.B. DuBois Memorial Centre for Pan-African Culture in Accra, a national historic monument of Ghana is a must - especially for Americans of African descent. It is the final resting place of Dr. Du Bois and his wife Shirley Graham Du Bois.
Dr. Du Bois, an African American, was a premier architect of the Civil Rights movement in the United States. A Harvard University Ph.D., he was an intellectual giant; the library at the Memorial Centre contains hundreds of his personal books and other documents.
