Visitors have numerous options for getting to Stavanger, which include by plane, car, train, bus, train, and boat.

            Most visitors who choose to fly to Stavanger will land at the Stavanger International Airport, which is located in Sola, a few minutes away from the city of Stavanger.  This is Norway’s fourth largest airport and the busiest in the county of Rogaland.  Bus Transportation is available between the airport and Stavanger.  There are also numerous Car Rental Agencies based around the airport and in the city of Stavanger.

            The Norwegian National Railway has many routes that connect the major cities and towns of Norway, including Stavanger.  Train travel through Norway is generally comfortable, and fairly affordable.

            Bus Travel through the country of Norway can be a great experience.  Most major towns and cities are linked through a large network of routes.  There is a national bus station in Stavanger.
