You can get a lot of information about the island from magazines such as The Welcome Magazine, The Virgin Voice, Captain's GuideMagazine, The BVI Restaurant and Food Guide and The Limin' Times (released weekly with all up-to date island events, tv guide listings and other tid-bits of information). It is also a good idea if you are unfamiliar with the island to pick up an island map, especially if you are renting a car, as the mountainous roads can be confusing to newcomers. Also as always, you can find just about anything on searching for information on Google. Printing out a guide can be a help, as well as making a list of things to do and places to go before your trip, many people however like to just "go with the flow" when they arrive and take things as they come.
