Charleston Tourism: Best of Charleston
A city big on charm, lavish architecture, and down-home food
Historic Charleston is bursting with Southern charm and hospitality. This city feels a bit like it’s suspended in time, thanks to its ornate architecture and surrounding gardens. See the incredible views of the Battery and the French Quarter as you stroll the Waterfront Park, then take inspiration from the cultivated beauty of the gardens at Middleton Place. At night, try a ghost tour for an introduction to the city's spooky side.

- ByEmily BrillantiTravel Guide to Charleston for CouplesCharleston is one of my favorite US cities to visit. My husband and I try our best to get here once a year during the Spring while everything is in bloom. Days can be spent wandering around downtown, at the beach, or trying new local eateries. The possibilities are endless and I recommend spending at least 3 full days here!9 items

- ByParentsA Family Vacation Guide to CharlestonFirst thing you should know about Charleston: there are cannons everywhere. In the parks, downtown, on the waterfront ? and they're going to slow you down. You see a Civil War monument, your kids see a jungle gym. When you're traveling with 4-year-old twins, as we were, detours to climb cannons are unavoidable. But getting sidetracked is part of the charm of a visit to Charleston. A harbor town best known for its history and its foodie culture, Charleston, especially its lively downtown, is packed with stunning architecture, monuments, and pocket parks. Some of the South's best chefs also call the city home. I can't think of anything my kids care less about than food and history, but the city somehow turns these nonstarters into exclamation points for Cooper and Addie. "Daddy, try this mac-and-cheese!" "Mom, can we get inside that jet?!" Read More: https://www.parents.com/fun/vacation/tips/charleston-south-carolina/14 items
