Venice, Italy
With its gondolas, canals, amazing restaurants, and unforgettable romantic ambiance, Venice is definitely a city for one's bucket list. Waterfront palazzos, palaces, and churches make drifting down the Grand Canal feel like cruising through a painting. To really experience Venice you must go to the opera or to a classical music performance, nibble fresh pasta and pastries, and linger in the exhibit halls of an art gallery. Label lovers will drool over the high-end shopping in Piazza San Marco.

I stayed at the new St. Regis Venice the week it opened. The brand-new hotel was gorgeous, but I’m not sold on its design, and there were still some kinks to work out. Pros: Beautiful canal views, convenient location and a comfortable bed. Cons: Service inconsistent, along with the functionality of the phone system and Wi-Fi, weird lighting in the bathroom and seemingly fake wood floors that were very slippery.

Venice. A city of romance, art and architecture. I had such an incredible trip to Venice recently with The Merchant of Venice from staying at the San Clemente Palace Kempinski Venice (which is on a private island in Venice and is surely the most beautiful place to stay in Venice) to spotting the Queen of Belgium at lunch next to the Teatro Venice to getting a 24-Carat Gold Facial. I mean let me tell you, it was an eventful few days. But let’s start at the beginning shall we?

Top Places to Travel: VENICE . . . The Il Ballo del Doge is the creation of Italian luxury fashion designer Antonia Sautter and it’s simply incredible. This isn’t just another social event; it’s the quintessential costume party.
