“Great weather improved our stay this year”
Reviewed 15 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Once again Ings provided great facilities and comfort for this years visit to the Lake District. This cottage is really suited for accessing the Northern lakes with transport routes via some of the most scenic routes you can find in this fantastic part of the country. And if u don't want to drive, there are many way marked footpaths literally on the doorstep! Even if you wanna just chill on site the views are amazing.

“Life-long Friends - a reunion !”
Reviewed 9 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

If you love "The Lakes" and hillwalking - you could not pick a better location than Ings. Most of us are in our late 70's now and having walked the hills of the UK for over 61 years this was perfect for us in all respects - the weather was perfect; the setting sublime and the autumn colours truly beyond belief. As for the house, it couldn't have been bettered, for setting, views, parking space, warmth and comfort and two lounges.
One point only - which is that although it sleeps 9, there are of course only 7 beds - two of them being doubles - so eight guys applied a little compromise by bringing a blow-up mattress to accommodate eight older guys who, in all probability would have a little difficulty coming to terms with another snorer/grunter under the same duvet :-)
Can only thoroughly recommend Ings - and hope to be back !

We had a wonderful holiday in the Lake District. Ings is set in amazing countryside and the views and scenery were breath taking.
With only a 10 minute drive into Keswick, the location is perfect.
The kitchen was very well equipped and the upstairs lounge was great.

“Lovely house with stunning views”
Reviewed 28 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

A lovely, comfy house - a real home from home. Very well equipped with more than enough china, glass etc for our group of 8. The kitchen is bigger than it looks in the photos.
Ings is in a wonderful position tucked in under Blencathra with wonderful views over to St John in the Vale and beyond, yet convenient for Keswick and the M6.
Highly recommended, would like to return time after time.
