2015 was the second year we have spent our Summer holidays at the domaine and on both occasions we found the welcome, grounds and facilities to be all we could have asked for. This was our first year in Apartment 1 which is particularly enjoyable with a wonderful enclosed sun and shaded terrace to lounge around and enjoy outdoor meals. The apartment is very well equipped with a big open-plan kitchen/sitting room area. The grounds are secluded, with plenty of space, a lovely big swimming pool and even a boules area, dogs are most welcomed everywhere. Anne, the owner, goes out of her way to make sure everything is just right for you to enjoy your stay.
The area is charming, typical Provence country. There are restaurants within a few miles of the estate, including Chez Bruno which is a must for truffle lovers. Day to day needs – fresh bread & breakfast croissants - can be taken care of with a quick nip into Villecroze and the town of Salernes approx 6 miles away has all the usual French supermarkets and plenty more. There are plenty of spots to explore further afield, such as the Lac de Sainte-Croix just half an hour away, vineyards in local domaines and Nice which is just over an hour's drive.
All in all, a wonderful place to stay, made all the more so by the warm welcome we received.
