Extenisve wine list and sumptious wagyu beef were the highlights of the menu. I really enjoyed the duck ravioli.

We had a function here recently where we had to had a set price menu. There were a number of choices for each course which was good, however the meal itself was very average. The serving sizes for people having the same dish were all different - some small and some large. Same goes for the size of the piece of steak which varied greatly between people. The desserts tasted mass made and were not of a high standard. For $135 per person, I had expected more. Tea and coffee were extra at the end of the meal! The cheapest bottle of wine on the menu was $70. I'm happy to pay for great food but that is not what was served. Not going back again.

Walking through a tunnel makes you already weary. The place is loud, smelly and totally unattractive. Worst interior design I have ever seen, especially if located in such a great hotel.

We had an excellent night out for our wedding anniversary. Service was excellent from start to finish, wait-staff were friendly, very attentive and informative about the menu and wine list. Could not fault.

The menu was looked vast but was broken down into sections (once explained) which made dining selection easier; and the wine list substantial and exhaustive from nearly every wine region in the world!!

The food was exceptional - well presented, good portion size and vert tasty. We had traditional garlic prawns and marron escabeche for entre - both brilliant. For mains we had Arkady lamb cutlets/loin chops, and fillet steak (Cape Grim Dry Aged Vintage 60month old grass fed) - both cooked to our liking, very tender and tasty.

The only criticism was that there were no sides that accompanied the mains and sides had to be ordered separately. That was fine, but the sides were large and too much for just 2 people, and could have been smaller (with a smaller price) - suggestion for menu: small sides for 2 ppl and large sides for 4 ppl.

We were also pleasantly surprised at the end of our meal with a complimentary treat - very thoughtful (see pic)

Asked for quiet table for second anniversary. They tried but through curtains still a view of car park, not the swan river. Loud table next to us. Really the restaurant is a barn divided into two halves. One half for those wanting to book and sit down for planned meal, the other for those who role in from hotel either on way to or, worse, on way back from casino. In short, no atmosphere. If there was background dining music, didn't notice it.

I know it has the chef's name, but if he is backing it and if it is his menu then I would love to know his thoughts on what is coming out.

On the good side, the passionfruit marshmallows in a glass for desert were actually really good. Very light and melt in your mouth.

Otherwise, the eye rib I had at $65 was medium and tender but lots of salt to flavour. Overpowering really. Flavour of potato and cabbage gretin also way too strong. I'd call it clumsy.

The chorizo and potatoes for entree passable but can get same or better from any cafe cook or home BBQ for half the price.

Looking through menu, lots of very plain pub food exotically named and described. The association with the much more complex and extensive wine and spirit menu was really strange and inconsistent when you looked at them side by side. Drinks menu seemed to be an attempt to raise and validate the class of the food menu. Drinks, as everywhere, way overpriced.

Service from very young table waiter good. Liked his personal presentation and effort but too inexperienced to tell the drunken CEO in the blue shirt with his three underlings at the next table that dropping the f bomb for the tenth time while telling all of us on neighbouring tables, who weren't interested, how good and generous he and the company was to said underlings, was ten times too many and to shut up or get out. He , the CEO, was what I would call a "good little Aussie".

In the end, we thought the beautiful candle lit entrance was the best thing, both on the way in and the way out. Won't be back, there is better on offer in Perth.
