I dont how this place is still operating. My wife and I went there on a Scoopon that was given to us so we didnt have to pay anything. I feel that we still ripped off.
Lets start with the couple of good points. First the service was good, mind you we got in there at 5.45pm and there was only 4 others in at the time so really that almost doesnt count. The last good point was that my pasta dish had a nice flavor. Thats it. Now for the bad.
The Menu had white out tape over several dishes. It was old and dirty and the tape was coming off in parts and sticking all over the menu in other places and the place was dirty and need a good clean
Main Course. I had the pasta ( $27.00. Maybe about $15.00 worth of value ) with chicken and sausage in a tomato sauce. Like I said, good flavor and I found the 1 bit of chicken. However I failed to locate the sausage so was somewhat disappointed with that. My wife had a pizza( $28.00.Maybe $17.00 would of been a reasonable price. ) Flavor ok. Topping was half hearted. A pile of Artichoke in 1 spot then nothing. 2 pieces of chorizo ( maybe one bit belonged in my pasta) and some fresh tomato.
Dessert. I ordered a Sticky Date pudding.( $18.00. Perhaps the most expensive food item pound for pound I have ever eaten ) It was a Sara Lee "slice" no bigger than a fish finger and served cold. Truly unbelievable. My wife had the banana and strawberry pizza ( $28.00. Not worth anything ) It was dried out and over cooked to the point of combusting, and the toppings where confined to a small circular area in the middle of the base. The banana and strawberry topping had been diced to within an inch of their lives and so were completely shriveled. There was no base sauce, no swirl of any sweet liquid not even a dusting of icing sugar to try to present it. I have no idea of how a Chef ( ? ) could let something that hideous out of his kitchen. Must have nil pride. It was, without a shadow of a doubt, the singularly most horrible thing I have ever been served in a restaurant.
With a warm beer and a white wine the bill came to $116.00. Like I said, lucky we had a free scoopon so we didnt have to pay anything. It wasnt a nice experience.
Please do not go there. You have been warned.
I had to give it one star for everything because Trip Advisor doesnt recognize that you want to give it no stars. So for us it actually gets 0 stars for everything except the service
