My husband and I visted the place, rooms were neat and clean, the games room was still the same.Check was at least a 45 minute wait.Close walk to beach, the pool area restuatnts needs to be revamped,a little bit scruffy.Overall stay was average.

Not impressed. I last visited this establishment a few years back, it was a great experience. There was a lot to do, restaurant options, and just generally a comfortable environment. This time round I could not wait to get back to my car to leave. The options for kids is a silly, pretty outdated, arcade...games don't work or the tokens get swallowed. The casino, although busy, is not one I would spend money at. With very little table options and a feel of, what I can only describe as 'muck', surrounds you leaving you feeling somewhat dirty. I went to a better casino up North a few days later instead and was comfortable. Your food options are as follows: Spur (which was good), 3 simple food court options or a buffet fit for a cheap conference. In short, we paid to enter, had a meal, and left. Very glad we opted for a different hotel when booking in the area.

The hotel is well located on the beach however there are no shark nets and therefore swimming is not permitted. Check-in is a terrible experience- need to wait over 3 hours. The call centre(housekeeping) does not assist if toiletries, towels are required.

The employees lack communication amongst each other. We booked in on the 25 March 2018- 28 March 2018 and was informed by some staff on the 25/26 March that the water park is closed for maintenance. I eventually checked with front desk why this is so and we were told it was not closed. We were very disappointed as we lost two days at the water park.

There is a fee payable at the waterpark for hotel residents.

Meals are standard nothing extravagant. Fast food like Debonairs, Something fishy and Steers is available. Chicos restaurant is overpriced- standard meals, tables not cleaned on a regular basis. Tea/ Coffee is part of the dinner buffet, i requested for this several times but never received my drinks.

Overpriced hotel that does not carry the standard.

Room Tip: Sea view, the ground floor rooms next to the pool has a beach theme but can quiet noisy from people visiting the bar and pool area

Check in fortunately didn't take too long. But boy oh boy the walk from elevator to room felt like a 5k walk.Average room - no spoons to stir your tea/coffee.Friday night didn't get bed turn down. Complained at reception that the phone does not work but no one sorted the problem the entire weekend. No bottled water in fridge had to ask cleaner in corridor. As for breakfast - its an almost nightmare. First morning had a 30 minute wait for a table for two people. The staff were grumpy and ignoring patrons that were calling them for either coffee/tea or cutlery.Plenty tables inside but were not cleaned for the next lot of people to use. I felt is was too overcrowded at the different stations and management should consider having two breakfast restaurants. Breakfast is most definitely not worth R300 bucks.
You can tell Wild Coast is slowly sinking - service not the best -accomodation mediocre- eating places limited.Sad but true

We booked into Wild coast Sun Hotel between 16 to 18 Match 2018. We arrived around 6 taking cognisance of the poor weather and traffic. The service at the check in reception is pathetic. Unfriendly staff who think they are doing you a favour. Let me clear that we were paying customers and not complimentary for gamblers. They were rude and unfriendly. Even though the hotel seemed empty as the parking was not full and place seemed deserted the lady in reception indicated the hotel was fully booked and only room available was at the extreme end on ground floor. We were allocated room number 68 on ground floor. We asked for non smoking room but the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The lifts to take you to the ground floor was not working with door permanently open. So we had to walk 4 floors down and 4 floors up going to restaurants and casino. The entire ground floor passages as well as our room was musty and smell of dampness evident. There was extensive leaking with water seeping through the walls in the lift area. The ground floor passages was infested with huge cockroaches. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel but a 2 star. The health authorities should investigate this place. I won't advise people with respiratory conditions to stay on the ground floor fue to dampness. I am speaking as an Environmental Health Professional. Overall a disgusting stay in which we wasted our money. They staff attitude is pathetic. On Sunday at 8.30am housekeeping staff knock on your door. Checkout should be after 10am or 11an. We checked out at 9am as was glad to get out. There are much better places in South Coast cheaper than the Wild Coast . Photos below show dampness with water seeping through wall and cockroach infestation
