I spent 2 nights there and i chose it because of the price. It was the cheapest one with a private bathroom. The lobby bar was very clean, tidy and modern, but the room itself not. There is a big LCD and this is the newest thing in the room. There was heating and two single beds. The window handler was broken so we couldn't open the window and get out with the smell. The carpet, blankets, bedside tables were dirty. There were some old cut cables protruding. We put towels on the floor not to step on the carpet bare foot. In the bathroom there was another thing - the shower cabin door was broken so everytime you want to go in , you must first take it out and then put it somehow. On our second day when entering the room we saw that the staff had entered and put one more single bed inside. I do not know why they did so. Anyway the receptionists were polite, helpful when asked, Free wi-fi available in rooms, towels, hair-dryer, soap, shampoo. If they just clean these rooms and take care of all the broken and used stuff everything will look much better. The hotel was about 40 minutes away from the center by tramway. There are a few bad looking cafeterias around. It is a muslim neighbourhood - a lot of turkish and arabic and so on.

We went away for a few days with my husband. We were looking for a cheap but decent hotel. Well.... I wouldnt call this place a hotel. It looked ok on the photos but its more like a hostel than a hotel when u actually get there. Everything is very old, furniture, bathroom, tv..... Our bed was broken and just very uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and the location was ok. Close enough to the centre but not as close as we hoped. We literally stayed in the hotel to sleep as we were out all day from early morning until late at night. So it was ok for us but I wouldnt go back there again. It really needs updating.

I stayed at La Potiniere for three nights for 40€/night in a single room. The hotel is very close to the railway station Schaerbeek from which you can go directly to the airport. However most of the airport connections and to other Belgian cities are departing from the Brussels centraal, North and midi which are much bigger stations.

The hotel is placed in an immigration area of Brussels. However almost all Brussels is packed with immigrants so it looks nearly the same everywhere, The neigbourhood area seemed rough but I never felt any fear walking the streets even at night.

There are several tram connections close to the hotel. One of them takes you all the way to the Bourse and grand place. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes.

The hotel is suitable for those who are looking for a non-luxury budget hotel. It is defintely not a hotel for spending a romantic weekend but for for backpackers. The hotel offers a decent but okay breakfast consisting of Croissant and coffee which are included. The staff is friendly and nice. I would go there again next time I go to Brussels!

This was the cheapest hotel we could find. Since we only needed to spend one night in Brussels before our flight, we decided to give it a try. Everythiing in the room except the TV is pretty old. But it looked clean enough though. The internet was not reliable, in and out. They served us good croissants and coffee for breakfast (free breakfast). It was about 70 euros or $96 for three of us, so about $33 per person -a bargain.

This place hotel was WAY below average, the location was also a bit far from the city center and we had to change 2 trams to get there! I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone! However, the price was ok, since Brussels are considered to be a relatively expensive city to stay and the man at the reception was very helpful and willing to explain us how to get around!
