I stayed at La Potiniere for three nights for 40€/night in a single room. The hotel is very close to the railway station Schaerbeek from which you can go directly to the airport. However most of the airport connections and to other Belgian cities are departing from the Brussels centraal, North and midi which are much bigger stations.
The hotel is placed in an immigration area of Brussels. However almost all Brussels is packed with immigrants so it looks nearly the same everywhere, The neigbourhood area seemed rough but I never felt any fear walking the streets even at night.
There are several tram connections close to the hotel. One of them takes you all the way to the Bourse and grand place. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
The hotel is suitable for those who are looking for a non-luxury budget hotel. It is defintely not a hotel for spending a romantic weekend but for for backpackers. The hotel offers a decent but okay breakfast consisting of Croissant and coffee which are included. The staff is friendly and nice. I would go there again next time I go to Brussels!More
