This was our 2nd trip to Belgium and we were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the accommodations. The apartment we rented was clean but very worn down. The grate over the heater was broken and all the couch pillows should have been replaced long ago. The overall feel was of general lack of upkeep. The apartment could also do with a new coat of paint. The 'kitchenette' doesn't have a sink, so it was inconvenient to really do any cooking in the apartment. The bathroom was enclosed but the walls didn't reach to the ceiling. This made it difficult to hear outside of the bathroom if you were on the phone when the shower was running or the toilet flushed.

The Dubois' are great people and we really appreciated their willingness to share information on their beloved city. Unfortunately, it wasn't helped by its close proximity (1 block) to the local prison. Though it wasn't a real issue, it was off putting to have to walk by its large security walls.

Room tip: If you like the latest and greatest, this is not the place for you.

We were 9 family members and Danielle's house was by far the best solution.
The 4 kids had fun and could enjoy, while the adults could sit confortably and chat. The house is well located and Danielle would give you lovely advice concerning her city.
Enjoy your stay.
Note: the bkfasts are great!

Easy to find in a nice Art Nouveau area. We stayed in a massive apartment with three rooms. Sure there was no TV, but being on holiday we didn't care. Only other criticism was the shower had no place on the wall to hang the shower head. so either you had a bath, or stood there holding the shower head in one hand, slightly uncomfortable. everything else was perfect. Danielles husband was really helpful providing us with a walking map of art nouveau buildings in the city which he had made himself. Breakfast was great, and recommendation of local restaurant, called 'Le Cigal' (Maybe the spelling is wrong), was really nice. Really nice view from our windows, nice place to stay. Easy to access mny places from there.

I stayed here for three nights while I looked for more permanent accommodations in Brussels. The house is lovely, with beautiful sculptures, unique architectural details, and a great selection of books in the room. It was great to come back to the quiet residential neighborhood each evening. There is a tram stop only a short walk away from the house, and the line serves the center of the city. The wifi access was very convenient. The Du Bois are warm and welcoming, and made my stay more comfortable than it would have been in a traditional hotel.

We have stayed for 6 days at this wonderful B&B and we would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers the personal touch, character and comfort of a B&B to the bland anonymity of the hotels.

It is located in the Art Nouveau quarter, very quite area , five minutes walk from Albert metro station, from where it is easy to get to other places in the downtown area and to the airport.

The B&B itself is in a 100 year old family mansion, very tastefully decorated.
Our spacious apartment (65m2 / 700 square feet) was just marvelous and gave us so much room to spread out and feel comfortable. There is a very good and vast selection of books to read, piano to play and chairs and couches to relax.
We also enjoyed a wide selection of Belgian beers that were kindly offered to the guests. Breakfast was very nice, with bread and croissants freshly baked in the morning.

The hosts Madame Danielle and Monsieur Paul are the loveliest people. They made us feel so welcome and we felt very much at home.
Madame Du Bois have helped us tremendously when we were trying to resolve a problem we had with the car rental company. It was one of those situations when the tourist in the foreign country feels so helpless and frustrated, and when the help, understanding and care can make all the difference. Thank you!

Truly cannot recommend this B&B highly enough.
