Walking north from Okanagan Falls towards Penticton, is one of the most picturesque walking/biking trails. The views of Skaha Lake are beautiful as you follow the shore line. Bird sightings are abundant and if you are lucky, you will see mountain bluebirds, western bluebirds, spotted towhees, Stellar Jays and a wide variety of waterfowl. Lots of dog walkers but people usually leash up their pets (which is the rule) when approaching other walkers. Evidence of the wildfire from summer of 2017 is very sad to see if you walk all the way to Kaleden. One of my favourite walks ever

The KVR trail through the Okanagan Valley is a treasure for the valley folks as well as visitors. The trail is 600 km of rail right of way that has been conserved for recreation. It travels through some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. There are many entrances and exits so one may choose the length and difficulty of ones travel with ease. It is always wise to check with the local tourism branch regarding the condition of the particular area you wish to travel. The trail is well maintained, however weather extremes can cause difficulties in some areas until they are repaired. I travel the Okanagan Falls to Kaleden portion regularly and always come back refreshed by the natural beauty of the area..

We were luck to stay across the street at KM0 of the KVR. Enjoyed brisk morning walks and runs right up to KM4 and back. It's beyond beautiful with the morning light across the vineyards. Highly recommended

We walked part of the trail in Naramata which gives you very nice and astonishing views over the Okanagan Lake. As it is an old railway path the climb is always very gentle. We walked up to the small tunnel and then went on which ended up in a very long hike. Overall I would recommend to do the trial only by bike which brings you much further and it is also more interesting as you can see and explore more. This is also ideal for beginners as there are no steep uphills and the path is not very difficult.

My wife and I bicycled from Myra Canyon to Penticton. The Myra Canyon trestles were awesome to ride on, and the downhill ride to Penticton was extremely enjoyable. The middle section of about 20 km was very difficult in places - sand on the trail made for challenging riding, and some stretches needed to be walked because of damage due to spring flooding. On the whole, it was worth it, but be prepared.
