Description: An unpretentious family restaurant which opened in october 2017. Passionnate about food we aim to offer the best quality, service and atmosphere to all our customers and the local community. Typically from Venezuela and Colombia, Arepas are made out of white corn pockets filled with different ingredients. Our meats are slowly cooked and we have vegetarian and vegan options. All our Arepas are gluten free. Corrientazos reunite a bit of every food in a plate.

The team at El Indio have got it down. Smart interiors but also cosy, fabulous location across from the beach at Bondi, and a great selections of South American favourites dished up with a warmth that makes you feel like a welcome guest.
From the bowls of pulled pork, rice and black beans to the arepas, prawns, guacamole and even vegan options, there is lots of choice.
The servings are generous, but don't fill up too much as you have to leave room for deserts.
A good drink selection and great people watching - you really can go far wrong!

We visited here finally on a really good recommendation from friends, at first it is a cool little quaint restaurant. It’s very small doesn’t accommodate many people at all so I assume a good turn around, the menu is limited it’s a choice of 2 dishes but each one comes with all different meats from pulled beef to chorizo or prawns and the flavours are sensational! So fresh and vibrant it got the Taste bud tingling that’s for sure we all loved it and would go back again....also very reasonable priced. It’s byo we got charged maybe $5 corkage but they also serve alcohol.

We love going to El Indio for a casual but delicious catch up with friends! The food is amazing! My favourite is pulled pork and the prawn bowls! Beef and churizo are really yummy as well! They also have vegan and vegetarian options and the buns are gluten free which is amazing! So tasty and decent portion size! The staff are super friendly and the restaurant has a really comfortable chilled vibe! Love it!

Saw the ranking on Trip Advisor (#1 restaurant in Bondi) and thought we give it a go on a weeknight.

We were very lucky to get a table straight away given that the restaurant is very small. Almost half of the restaurant inside is its kitchen and it was great to see/smell/hear the food being prepared. In my opinion the size and kitchen is part of its charm.

We are new to South American street food and we tried the chicken arepas and the lamb bowl. The arepas were good but the dish I found very tasty was the lamb bowl. A generous portion of nicely cooked pulled lamb served with mint, tzatziki, guacamole, feta, mini arepas and more.

Nice dinner and experience overall.
