The food was superb (although expensive). The restaurant is small, historically interesting and cosy and run by the same family since the late 1800s. The welcome was very warm and the service excellent. Only the price prevented us going every evening. By far the best restaurant in Campione D'Italia

After an unsuccessful business trip I decided to spoil myself and have a lunch in this restaurant (my evenings were all work so I couldn't come for a proper dinner) before returning home.

Everything about this place lace is perfect, amazing, too good to be true...

Atmosphere, ambiance, decoration: true five class classic restaurant.

Service: perfect. Nothing less.

Food: whatever I tried, even the breads were amazing. Amazing simple yet perfect gazpacho. Perfect (still feel the taste and softness of the meet in my mouth) Tornado Rossini. Great Tarte Tatin.

Pricing: expansive but not too much and definitely 100% worth it.

Two months ago we were st Loire Valley for vacation and tried three one starred Michelin restaurants (one was very good and two were very disappointing), this one is better than all of them and by far!

I had an outstanding dinner! When I arrived Chef Bernard took the time to speak with me about the menu and suggest choices I might prefer. I took the tasting menu. Even with some dietary restrictions on my part the Chef did a brilliant job. I note to readers the fish and duck are his specialties. They were fantastic. The Chef chose my wine which was a light local red that worked with fish and duck. I really enjoyed my dinner! Highly recommend.

My husband and I loved dining here as we had found the referral on Condé Nast traveler and thought we should check it out! We were not disappointed as the minute we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming showing us to a small little table for 2 in their beautiful cozy restaurant. This is not a huge place and it's meant for smaller groups or tables of 2-4 people which really adds to the experience overall. They do also have a few tables outside that are lovely. From the Fois gras to the local Branzino, we had a splendid dinner for our first evening in the area. It was well worth the price and a wonderful start to our trip!

Eating a frog legs in a French restaurant. Such a cliché! But oh how delicious! Everything we ordered was exceptional! Will return to this place for sure. Also I really love the intimacy and the classic style of this restaurant.
