We stayed here March 8-15, 2017. This was our first stay in Roatan, although we have visited via cruise ship several times in the past.

Great room, huge with very comfortable king bed. Very clean, and the AC did a great job keeping it cool. Had a 3rd floor room with a great ocean view.

Breakfast was good with friendly staff. Always someone around to get or exchange beach towels. Entire property was clean and in good condition.

I had requested a refrigerator which was promised on our first e-mail contact but never received one. Also did not get picked up at the airport upon arrival in Roatan as was promised. I had e-mailed several times before departure to verify dates and shuttle service which were never returned.

Other than the communication problems, it was a great stay with a friendly staff.

Loved it here, close to beach, right across street from a mini-mall that has everything you need/forgot, great breakfasts, fantastic staff and service, huge clean rooms with great bathrooms, good a/c and lots of tv channels (though small old tv), refreshingly cool little pool, quiet. Only thing that would've made it better is if they had a fridge and microwave in the room, ice, and a bar on site, but walking across the street was easy enough. Def. would stay here again!

Friendly helpful staff, large room with king bed and queen bed, walk in shower, tasty breakfast and only a short 2 to 3 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. Only drawback is the lack of an elevator so you walk up to your room.
Restaurant's and shopping right across the street.
We fell in love with the island and will stay here the next time as well.

This is our second stay at West Bay Colonial and can honestly say we'll keep coming back!! Their rooms are huge and so clean! So much storage space, bathrooms are super big as well and all rooms have a really nice balcony to relax and catch the ocean breeze! Ahhhh!
Their customer service is awesome, Will and Reyna go out of their way to make you feel like at home with the amenities of a hotel lol
Their restaurant prepares really delicious meals (ask for a house "secret" special pescado en coco) ;)
Our onsite tour guides, Will and Bianca are sweethearts and know the island's most beautiful secret/virgin beaches! Give them a call and stay at West Bay Colonial! You'll find everything there! Highly recommended!!! ;)
PS - access to Club San Simon is superb :)

Room Tip: Rooms on top floors have amazing views; lower floors have easy in and out access!

We were lucky when we found the Colonial Suites. We left a different hotel because it was deplorable without a reservation and without knowing where to go. When we saw the Colonial Suites it was attractive and well maintained. We checked and the staff was professional and friendly. The price was a good value and the room was excellent. The location is great. They are only a couple of hundred meters from the beach, but they have an arrangement with one of the beach front resorts to use their facilities on the beach (chairs mainly). The beach there is excellent. We found a guide with a boat and time on his hands, so for $40 my wife and I got a snorkeling tour, which was excellent. and if you don't want to go to the beach, the pool is excellent, new and well maintained. If we go back to Roatan, we will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with any room
