had a wonderful 4 night stay the best camp site I have used in 30 years. There was only one thing that was required and that was another toilet and having spoke to lee another is being added this year perfect!. there were some particularly nice touches i.e. freezer space each, a lovely and affordable little store, forgotten anything its there to borrow from wellies to games, a place to charge phones. The list is endless. I would recommend this if you are after a quiet relaxed camping experience. Well done LEE and ABI

I don't know if you are the kind of person that likes to revisit somewhere you have enjoyed greatly? I certainly am and was delighted to get the chance to go back to this little slice of heaven.
I checked that everything was the same and actually it was, if possible, a tiny bit better. There's now a handy shortcut to the toilet block, a radio in the loo and even fairy lights in the mess tent.
All the attention to detail that I noticed last time is still there, such as washing up liquid, kitchen roll and nice fresh towels. I like the handy shelf to charge your phones and the pile of ice blocks you can borrow.
The walk down to the woods has got better, with a new path through the trees and a giant set of noughts and crosses just waiting to be played on.
There's peace in abundance and you simply uncurl your mind and relax. While waiting for our husbands to bring us a cup of tea my friend and I decided the only thing missing was a butler!
Having stayed at Coastal Wood Cottages last year, we were aware of Lee and Abi's extraordinary attention to detail so we decided to book the Bluebell pitch for a few days. The same care and attention has gone into all the camping facilities with a wonderful well-equipped wash area with hot shower and toilet complete with travel radio and Country Living magazine - a luxury we are not used to! The play area was a major attraction for our boys (18mths and 3.5) and the Diddy Shop was packed with everything we could need. Our pitch was well thought out with a mess tent, fresh drinking water and useful wheelbarrow. Even the recycling bins were on site so we didn't have to walk far to dispose of our rubbish. Unfortunately, the weather was against us this year and we couldn't take advantage of the wonderful view of the meadow due the mist, but we knew it was there!
The site is well placed to explore the South Wales coast and the 'what to do' guide which was provided left us with no end of ideas of what to do. If only Lee and Abi could arrange the weather, I'm sure this would have been a perfect holiday. Highly recommended for anyone, especially families who want space for their children to run wild in the great outdoors. We'll be back, put that sunshine on order!
Thank you so much!

Lee and Abi's approach to providing a camping pitch is just like their approach to their lovely holiday cottages: beautiful, brilliant, and with an attention to detail that is second to none. We were thoughtfully allocated Bluebell pitch for our summer break. The site had the perfect balance of being secluded and private (much enjoyed by our 2 children and happy spaniel), but with the luxury of a hot shower, flushing loo and washing up station in the next meadow (much appreciated by the parents!). The provision of a dining shelter, complete with shelving unit and water carrier were a superb addition to a "normal" camping experience, making the pot-luck of the UK weather easier to deal with. Our whole family particularly enjoyed an evening spent around the camp-fire, again made really easy by the provision of a fire pit, free logs and cosy benches. To be honest, once the children have discovered the play area and rope swing in the lower meadow, you will have to be quite motivated to leave the farm and explore the idyllic coastline at all. However, with so much to see and do in the area, it is worth the effort. Thanks to you both Lee and Abi, for another fabulous holiday. My 4 year old summed it up best when she lamented "why did you only book 5 nights??!!"

You will see from my reviews that I can overdo the hyperbole. This time though, any enthusiasm is totally justified. I give myself free rein...
This is, without doubt, the best camping experience ever. There are basic levels of requirements and many campsites we have stayed at leave you with a sense that they have provided a patch of grass, and a loo and a shower and what more do you want. Well, having stayed at Bluebell pitch, I discover that my needs are much more complex. I now require the view of a rippling sea of grass stretching as far as the eye can see and trees and foxgloves and glimpses of horses in the next field. I will now need a firepit, with as many logs as we need, all neatly stacked and not forgetting the wooden sleeper seats perfectly placed to reach forward and roast marshmallows. I particularly will not shower or ablute unless the facilities are exactly the same. Imagine a proper sink, shower and loo and add a box of Country Life magazines and a towel and posh shower gel and you are getting the picture. There are cutesy hooks and wooden bunting and a roof light so you can see the trees lit up at night.
I went in search of a freezer and found a utilty room stocked with iron, washing machine and our own freezer shelf. Even more impressive was the range of helpful food items such as Magnums in the freezer, ready meals, tins of yummy sauces, fancy chocolate, and even a slate with spice selections to help yourself to. If you had a dog there was a pile of blankets and toys and baskets to borrow. Tiny wellies were there if your tot needed a pair. Add in some cozy sofas, a big pile of board games, dvds and books and there is nothing more you could wish for.
Back to our site. There is even a mess tent already set up for each pitch. It is fully equipped with recycling bins, benches and a big table, storage area and a lantern, with candles. Genius! This proved invaluable with the inevitable rain moment and was so nice to be able to spread out a bit.
Sorry this is so lengthy, but I am so struck with how lovely this experience was and how generously we were treated. There was an abundance of thought and effort and it really made for an unforgettable experience. I wonder how I will feel when I next encounter a meat n 2 veg campsite? I now only want gourmet camping!
