We got into a boat. The boat driver pointed out "eagle there" far out in the distance. Pointed out "jelly fish there" and that was the extend of explanations. We were dropped off at Cinnamon Island, walked 10 steps to a hut where a lady demonstrated the peeling of the bark and how it dried. And a bit of selling. Took a whole 10 minutes and we were back on the boat.
We cruised around some mangrove swamps, pointed out "Buddhist temple", "island", "smallest island" and that was the end of the boat ride.
My guide "recommended" we give the boat driver a tip of R500.
It was over in less than an hour.
