“Don't miss this one!”
Reviewed 23 December 2015 for a stay in September 2015

This house does not disappoint! Add to this the great location and you have the perfect combination. The villa is well laid out and has a welcoming ambience. It is clean and very well appointed thereby escaping that spartan feel that some holiday homes have. The garden is a great place to relax and to eat in and provides mediterranean colour - and perfume! You are definitely spoilt for choice for places to visit starting with the Canal du Midi and Portiragnes Plage almost on the doorstep. If you want to explore this fabulous corner of France this is the place to be!

“Charming Portiragne and Languedoc-Roussillon Region of France”

This is a very elegant Oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Paris and Nice but close enough to go for dinner and walk along Canal du Midi and Portiragne Beach. If you are driving and have a car, parking is provided. Dave and Chris are more than welcoming and congenial hosts. They make sure that all your needs are met, help you decide what adventures to go on or just invite you to relax by the sunny courtyard or dinner al fresco…
While in Portiragne, we enjoyed the views down the street of the village 12th century church and its majestic stipple. There are many options for dinning and walks around this charming and quaint French village. We enjoyed dinners at a fabulous fine dining restaurant as well as beer and bar food at the local bar.
The accommodations are beyond comfortable, quiet and inviting. The rooms are well appointed and the bathrooms are comfortable and well designed with great showers and tubes. The kitchen is modern and very functional. One can either choose to have meals in the dining area indoors or the in the lovely dining table outdoors.
Dave and Chris suggestions for day trips were fantastic. We experienced vineyards and 12th century castle visits, wine tasting, historical sites and amazing food. We visited Avignon, Pont Du Gard, Beziers, and Marseillan which are easy day trips to take. Wine tasting at Chinian was fantastic and we were able to taste all the traditional varietals plus the local varieties.
We highly recommend a visit to this very special home in Portiragne. We travel quite a lot and experience many fascinating places. This is one is on top of our list. We can’t wait to go back and bring the kids next time as it is a skip and a hop from Montpellier.

“Beautiful well equipped house in a lovely village.”
Reviewed 20 December 2015 for a stay in July 2015

A modern, bright house with everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Rooms are spacious and clean.
The garden is charming and ideal for alfresco dining or for soaking up the sun.
The village has a well stocked supermarket together with a patisserie and restaurants.
There are lovely walks around the village and plenty of interesting places to visit locally including the beach.

“Fantastic, spacious, well thought out place to stay!”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We are a family of 4 (2 small children) who stayed in the May school holidays. The house was outstanding, everything had been thought of. Loved the outside spaces (there are many), it was very relaxing and the children loved it, especially walking with daddy every morning to get fresh croissants for breakfast. This was out first time in Portiragnes but we have fallen in love with this village and the area and will be back again very soon, in fact I'm just trying to book now but unfortunately this lovely house isn't available!!
