These rides were from my wife for Xmas and our son who is just getting interested in horse riding. The staff were so friendly and welcoming from the very beginning and knowledgable to the point you knew from the very start that you are in good hands. The horses have a very good temperament and you feel safe all the way. The countryside just transports you in to another world where you forget anywhere else exists and along the way the staff continue to help with advice and instruction that is very helpful. Our son said he learnt more in 2 hours trail ride than he did at 6 weeks of lessons. Highly recommend as a hidden gem.

I took three of my kids here last school holidays and visited again on my own recently. The staff are great, the horses very responsive and I loved the way they encouraged us all to not just follow nose to tail, but to take our own little tracks and control our own horses. A very organised, well run establishment. Lovely countryside, responsive horses, informative and helpful staff. What more can I say except I will be back!

Had a wonderful day riding with Burnelee. Lovely horses and instructors and beautiful scenery. They are very welcoming to beginners like myself and provide a lot of individual attention to riders who need some help. They do also give more experienced riders a chance to canter as well though, so everyone can have fun regardless of their skill level. I would do this again in a heartbeat!

A friend and I booked a two hour ride at Burnlee Excursions - neither of us had ridden for at least a couple of decades, so were very impressed that we were asked about our experience and then 'fitted' to the right horses. The ride was through bush across part of a 4000 acre property, with stunning views. We were part of a large group, which was split off into groups based on experience / desire to canter and trot, or just walk quietly. The horses were great - not your typical riding school horse, and everyone, from raw beginners to experienced riders, had a great time. Two hours was just enough after a very long break, and we were warned to make sure our legs and ankles were working when we dismounted. There were stops for photos, and the opportunity to have the staff take photos of us when we got back. Highly recommended if you want a different riding experience - we intend to ride regularly from now on - $90 for the two hour ride which is very reasonable.

We (a group of 4) chose the two hour trail ride at Burnelee. From the initial enquiries to meeting the team at Burnelee and then our ride I am full of praise for this business. When I phoned Burnelee to make a reservation I spoke about the varying levels of abilities within our small group and that translated into well matched horses on the day. The place is off the main roads but the directions were clear and easy to follow. The staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The horses were well cared for and responsive to riders. The trail ride was on the property of Burnelee but provided plenty of challenges to novice riders with slopes, densely wooded areas etc. We broke into two groups at one point so that the more experienced could have a canter. I thoroughly recommend this place.
