Absolutely brilliant beer direct from the barrel brewed on site by Hopfuzz brewery. Recommend the English as a true flavoursome bitter
We ate a super vegetarian chilli with Ciabatta.

Will definitely be using again as a perfect walking distance from Hythe. Only open Friday - Sunday from 12pm

We have been to unit 1 several times after it was recommended by a neighbour. For us it’s a lovely walk along the canal footpath for about a mile which is just enough in this heat to work a thirst up which once your there is quenched by a selection of 2-3 ales 2-3 lagers and 4-6 ciders of various flavours. All of which have have been delightful. The place itself has a pop up bar casual feel with all of the drinkers we’ve met being social and friendly create a really good vibe to the place. The staff are helpful and polite and the setting next to the canal is a lovely bonus. The kitchen has alternate chefs cooking their own unique dishes and changes weekly. Fresh handmade pizzas are on Thursday nights and are superb. All of the prices are very reasonable for both the beer and food and is well worth the visit. I would check their site or Facebook page for opening times before planning a visit. Great place what a find.

This is a little gem in the small village of West Hythe. We are staying in the village so popped down for a pint at about 7pm on Saturday night. Really relaxed atmosphere with varied groups; families, couples of all ages. Small selection of beers and ciders (and other soft drinks) at reasonable prices. Just a simple place but in a beautiful location; we took our drinks and sat right next to the canal. What a picturesque pint supping location. We are planning to come back to sample the food!

Nice little spot next to the Royal Military Canal. A selection of quirky real ales and ciders, with a small fast food Chinese/Thai kitchen. Great in the summer, when you're out for a walk.

Lovely little venue with great beers and ciders and tasty food. A 25 minute walk along the tow path from Hythe or about a mile walk from Dale acres Camping and caravan club site. Well worth the walk.
