We stayed at Thornton beach for 2 days while driving up north along the Bloomfield track through the Daintree. They are lovely little cabins across the road from the beach and are at one with the stunning nature of the region. So much wildlife abounds. From beautiful butterflies and birds to wallabies and cassowaries, and giant spiders. There are many walks through the rainforest and the beach walks are beautiful. I would Highly recommend a stay here.

Dean greeted us on arrival & showed us around. What a stunning environment!! If you know the daintree its a remote part of australia, i learnt everyone that owns property has to make their own electricity source & water is precious. If you want to escape and unwind this is the perfect location for you! You could not ask for better hosts.

Ocean and Rainforest, that's why you visit this area. And you can do that from a cosy little house with a nice host. No kitchen, but a bbq, and a restaurant accross the road, on the beachside. Sunrise available 😁. And: a good opportunity to see casuaries! We did!

Lovely little cabins, spotlessly clean and with nice little extras such as hibiscus on pillows etc. Great position right across the road from lovely beach (be aware of crocodile dangers here). Nice cafe opposite we went for breakfast with very generous portions. The bungalows provided BBQ facilities with everything needed eg. oil, tongs, paper towel, insect spray etc. Highly recommend for short stay.

Awesome location in the rainforest and veeery close to the beach - just across the Street. Everything was tidy and clean and the bed was comfortable too.
Very friendly hosts as well. They do have a lot good tips for your time in Daintree.

If you stay there check out the Daintree ice cream company (the offered flavors change from day to day, so definitly worth a second visist :) )and do the exotic fruit tasting at cap trib farms.
