We were pleased to find this little gem. More people would enjoy the area if they could find it more easily. Follow the signs and then, when you see these HUGE stones in front of a hedge, with a gate in between, THAT'S IT! STOP! Go through the gate. Nice view, too.

This place was a little hard to find. If you travel past the quarry there is a sign telling you to go up the hill. We did and then there was a fork in the road we went left and followed a farmers track to the top above the quarry thinking the viewpoint was there. Were came back and as I turned noticed the building. There is large rocks outside before you get to the fork in the road, but there are no signs to say you are there. There is a small gate and the view is quite beautiful across to Lake Waihola. You may only spend 10 minutes here unless you are having a picnic as there are picnic tables and a great view.
