We went to Mexico City to attended a family reunion, therefore I looked for a hotel in the "Ciudad Satelite" area, which is in the north part of Mexico City (Tlalnepantla).

I chose this hotel for two main reasons: 1) Location & 2) Price.

Number 1: The hotel is very well situated over the "periferico" (Ávila Camacho Avenue) in a shopping mall. It is actually over the mall, and the main entrance is located in the 3rd floor of the buinding. It looks new & clean overall.

Number 2: The price we got was through my office travel agency and it was really competitive, compare to the other hotels in the same area in same level of comfort (Camino Real, Fiesta Inna, Holiday Inn, etc). We paid roughly $70.00 USD (tax included) for a double room with buffet breakfast included.

Now details of our stay. We checked in around 11pm with a nice young men that greeted us very nice. We rented a car in Mexico City International Airport therefore, a safe parking was needed. Only negative point in this particular case is that parking IS NOT included in room rate so be prepare to paid around $10.00 USD for the entire night. There is PLENTY of space in the parking lot, so be sure you will no have any issue to find a place. You should park your car in the E2 (parking 2) and is better to take the elevator to the hotel floor N2 (level 2). It is much quicker that cross the whole mall and climb by the electrical stairs.

Room was very nice and clean. I'm not sure about the other review that states that was no higyenical, because our room was perfectly clean. Room is very nice and bright, although is not the biggest, but enough for one night stay. We did not have a nice view because we were located in the 1st floor, but it was OK. Buffet breakfast was very good. Eventhough you don't have so many options, you had plenty variety to have a delicious start. On sunday they leave extra hours the breakfast buffet (til around 1pm) wich we found very useful having a long sleep.

Check out was at 1pm and a very nice lady prepared our bill really quick.

I highly recommend this hotel, either for business or pleasure.

Enjoy!

When I got to the hotel I found a modern and clean place. At the check-in the front desk people gives you a nh-world card ( their program) they give you money back for every stay you spend with them in euros so you can get a night for free once you get points. The housekeeping staff are very nice and makes you feel like you´re at home.
If you need help trying to get some information or directions feel free to ask the front desk because they will help you. They are always nice and polite people.

We arrived at this nicely located hotel a few minutes past midnight. First mistake on the NH hotel Website: it says "Accesible, indoor, on-site parking", but it does not say it has a charge of approximately US$8 per day. They need to update their website and state the fact that there is a charge.

So upon arrival, the check-in took almost 15 minutes, with only two people in line and two recepcionist. It was obvious that the recepcionists had no skills or enough aptitudes to be left alone that late at night; you'll see why...

Upon arriving in our room, I immediately noticed a big stain on the couch, what seemed to be red wine. The bathroom had spots all over and it did not look fresh. This led me to look for signs of lack of cleaning, so when I started preparing the bed, I found lots of human hair, some of them were obvious pubic hair. I called the recepcionists and after a few minutes the female one came over with a security agent. They moved us to another room, and the same story was repeated, I opened the bed in front of them, and even the female recepcionist stated that she would not sleep there. There was mascara on a few of the pillows....disgusting!

My wife and I requested a voucher for two nights for another NH hotel instead of the full reimbursement of our two pre-paid nights. The "duty manager" was not able to provide a response.

The GM apparently was notified at that time of the lack of cleaning and about my "outrageous" request of providing me my two nights for a later date. Still the guy at front desk was not able to fulfill.

Long story short and a good advise to all travelers: Be careful of the cleanliness if you come to this hotel. Human hair is not acceptable at any hotel! So is lack of empowerment to the only two people working at night.

There are several other hotels in the area. I reccomend the Camino Real (Mexican company with high standards) and the near by Holiday Inn Express.

I left a long note to the GM, who seemed not to care as the promise was that he was going to call me within 24 hours....I am still awaiting for his call.

Room Tip: There is no best room...Rooms are filthy

Hotel is located inside a shopping mall, above the 2nd floor, so parking is not very convenient since it is shared with all the other businesses. There is also a nightclub that opens on Thurs., Fri. and Sat. which limits even further the parking availability.
The price point is very good and the place is new so I will choose it every time I need to be the Northen industrial area of Mexico city.
Restaurant is ok for breakfast with a small buffet; I did not try the restaurant for other meals since the shopping mall offers a variety of choices inclusinf steaks, seafood, bistro, coffee shops, cinemas, etc....that is quite convenient.
My room was always clean with small levels of noise from the outside.
