Stayed at this resort with family for 3 nights in May. This resort is tucked away in the mountains of Bodimettu, overlooking the plains of Theni, far from crowded Munnar. One get awesome views of mist shrouded mountains from the resort through the day. Resort staff are always available to make sure that your every request gets fulfilled. Resort manager Mr. Santhosh has been so helpful by giving us local sight seeing tips and so on. We could not go for the off road trips for sunrise and sunset views, since it has been raining. We did visit Suryanalle tea estate and were taken on a visit to tea factory. Also did a bit of adventure activities such as kayaking and zipline ride at the tea estate. Mr. Sebastian, MD of the resort has been always around with a smile, making us feel at home. The food was simple, fresh and tasty. There is no TV in the room, but one would not complain about it. Mobile network is patchy, a blessing in disguise. There is no AC in room, one would not need it here. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our overall experience has been excellent and it was a very peaceful vacation for us and would cherish the good memories for a long time for sure.

If you are looking for relaxing in lap of nature for a romantic gateway or family fun trip then Shola Crown is the Place. This place is situated in outskirts of Munnar so regular site seeing and activities will be at a distance.
My first impression was not good for the Place as I reached it from a wrong (read "Bad") road, with heavy raining, fluctuating power, No TV in room and absolutely dark outside. But next morning's mesmerising view, Incredible Hospitality and "Always Yes" attitude of Mr. Santhosh changed everything.
I would rate Shola Crown 5 star on every aspect.

Food quality is Good, They do not serve buffet breakfast but the way their Staff serves you, you would not feel anything missing.

The Infinity pool and Game room was helpful for engaging my daughter and I also enjoyed it.
Shola Crown will give you enough "Picture Perfect" clicks for your Facebook wall and WhatsApp DO with it's View from Room , in garden, near restaurant and by the pool.

The Hotel is New, upkeep of room is good.
The owner of the hotel met us while checking out and shared a candid chat.

Entire team working at the Place makes your experience fabulous.

The rooms are neat and clean with no AC. AC is not required, as it's usually cool. Breakfast is very tasty, some times it will be ala-karte and some times buffet. Chicken biryani is very unique and tasty. The evening snacks and tea are too good. Welcome drink is too good. The pool is out of the world, very clean and has breathe taking views! The place is untouched and you can see lot of trees on the mountains opposite to the property. Location is the highlight of this place. Its really like a crown at this place. The morning fog even during summer makes one feel refreshing. Finally the owner of the property, Mr. Sebastian is very friendly and takes care of the guests right from arrival. Don't forget the in-house made mango pickle mixed with tomato, it's very unique and tasty. It's far away from Munnar town so you can relax well. It's just near the border of Kerela. You will wish to stay here for one full week .

I have recently stayed here and it was an awesome stay there. We would love to go there again. The Moment you open the window of your room that view is like Ubud. I loved this place, nice food, room was clean, big and comfy. We stayed there for two days in the morning we enjoyed that stunning view and in evening we enjoyed trekking and jeep ride also we have visited cardamom farms nearby this hotel. It was a unique experience. I highly recommend this hotel it is worth it. We will again go there sometime. It has a pool which is the most unique and soothing feature of this hotel. This is one of my favorite trip with my hubby love to go there anytime.

Room Tip: Rooms are good whatever direction you choose
