Review of The Marina Cafe

The Marina Cafe
Price range: AU$13 - AU$30
Description: The Marina Cafe Church Point is situated on the shores of Pittwater. We offer a beautiful waterside setting and fresh modern cuisine. We change our menu with the seasons to take advantage of the best produce on offer. We create all our own jams, marmalades, sauces, cakes, muffins, cookies, tarts, ice creams and more, the only thing we buy made is the bread to ensure the best tasting and healthiest food. The Marina Cafe also hosts a wide range of functions.

Our group of 15 enjoyed a Christmas lunch here on a sparkling Sydney day, overlooking the busy marina and boats sailing on Pittwater. Everyone of our group, without exception, was very impressed with the atmosphere, the interesting menu and delicious food, the very reasonable prices for both food and drinks and the very friendly and attentive service. We had a delightful day (the day before the very unfortunate lockdown!) and unreservedly recommend this excellent restaurant.

Great setting and space for lunch. We were sat out on the wharf with a fabulous view of the water and boats. Our waiter was attentive and helpful ensuring that we had a good idea of menu and drink options. The different side options for the market fish is a great idea and the two of us that had the Jewfish enjoyed that. The other dishes of duck curry and crab & prawn tagliatelle were plentiful and tasty.
Certainly lots of room under Covid rules.

Visited last Monday and tried Crab Omelette. It was really tasty. There was good balance with green papaya salad - had a little chilli kick in it which was lovely. The coffee was also very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended.

We have been coming here for a while now, and me, my family, and my guests are never disappointed by anyone or anything here. The staff are usually happy to talk, the food is great (the crispy duck salad is a must have) and the view is very good too. Overall a great place to come if you have spare time.

Cold sourdough toast, just a thin spread of avacardo and a few small dobbs of fetta, not very appealing and I had to wait 20 minutes to get it and we still didn’t have our coffee, whilst tables that had just arrived we’re getting served before us, not good. The manageress was very apologetic and gave us a full refund but I really can’t understand how a cafe can ruin such a simple breakfast. We are locals and won’t return, there are several other cafes close by that do breakfast and coffee the right way. We have been here for dinner as well but the menu is very tired and you can’t byo anymore, again too many other good options close by which have much better menus and better service.
