We just spent a week in Austria, Wagrain. We ate many times at Almmonte. What a fantastic restaurant. The food was 10 out of 10. Both for children and adults. We tried many different dishes and they were all fantastic. We also ordered pizza a few times for pick up as well. Try it!

After reading all positive reviews we where expecting more. The service was not good enough and I do not like up-selling when you buy things you don’t want. The food was ok but not excellent.
A few days later we ordered pizza with delivery. They were fantastic and was delivered within 30 minutes.

Recommended by our German friends who had dined here in the New Year . It’s located at the bottom of the Flying Mozart gondola and for us a 10 min walk from our Pension near Wasserwelt
It is much more upmarket / fine dining than the restaurants in the village and frequented by ski families.
You must book as it gets very busy and we saw people turned away as we went in
This was half term in the Uk and the restaurant was full - frequented by Dutch , Danish and the odd Brit ( us !) . Multilingual staff and the menu was in German and English
Extensive menu , steaks , salads , fish - this is not a burger and pizza place though there was a kids menu
The Red Thai curry was lovely - beautifully served , see photos as were the desserts
My only criticism was that service was very slow . Admittedly the restaurant was busy with big family parties but we waited almost an hour for the main courses .The waiter was very apologetic but our table was for 1930 and we started to eat at 2025 . Didn’t leave till 2145 which makes it a late night for us after a hard day on the piste.
It is a delightful restaurant and yes I would go there again but probably off season
2 adults / 2 teenagers -4 mains, 4 desserts , a round of drinks with beers €116 plus a tip . Not a cheap option for feeding 2 hungry teenagers
