This is a lovely, very spacious, clean and extremely well-equipped apartment that was perfect for us, and even nicer in person than the photos show. Dead quiet at night. Emily was so very helpful and pleasant, and booked us into an activity (the alpaca walk) that we had missed the tourist office cut-off for. Travelling in this area with no German language skills it was also a luxury to deal with a native English speaker!
The layout of the apartment is ideal with older children with the bedrooms completely separate, and the lounge/dining area separate again so if anyone wants to stay up for a while (watching Netflix maybe!) they don't disturb others.
When travelling for a long time it is so great to have easy access to a washing machine which this apartment has, there is also a huge clothes horse and plenty of space to use it in the lounge area. We had it permanently in use for our 4 night stay.
There is free parking and a tourist office, great supermarket and good value bike hire nearby.
Just returned from a week at Happy Mountains in Leutasch. We had a great week biking, swimming and exploring the local area. Steve and Emily were helpful hosts with suggesting things to do in the area. Some excellent road cycling and also a great network of gravel trails for family rides with gravel/cross/mountain bikes and child in singletrailer. Free entry and free parking at the swimming baths in Leutasch is a great bonus too. Day trips to Mittenwald and Seefeld made for a great family holiday and a relaxing break. Apartment was clean, well equipped (hob, oven, microwave, filter coffee, washing maschine, TV with Netflix) and comfortable. BBQ hut in garden is a superb idea for a relaxing evening with friends.
This was our second stay at 'Happy Mountains' and, again, everything was first-class. This time we were in apartment 2, which was extremely spacious for just us two (it has a second bedroom so would be fine for a couple with kids).
Steve & Emily are the perfect hosts. They were able to give advice on the activities in the area and even helped us with entry into a nearby trail running race!
The scenery is stunning and we were lucky with the weather. Local supermarket just a 5 min walk away and restaurants/bars too. The train from Munich Airport to nearby Mittenwald was a very scenic ride and fairly inexpensive.
