I am rating for the restaurant of this hotel. Very good pizza and pasta. Highly recommended if u r looking for authentic (at good price) Italian food in Grossarl.

The place is not immediately seen as you walk by unfortunately. Hopefully people can find them more often via TripAdvisor. Really good food, dont miss it.

We are a family of 5 ( three kids aged 9,7,4) and it was a fantastic week at Hotel Bergzeit. The hotel has activities that are planned every week day during summer so you can hike, mountain bike , picnic with the friendly hosts or do your own thing. There are many Alm's (small mountain huts offering beverages, soups, cheese, sausage, meats etc) you can walk to and Mariano and Eva are always happy to advise....
There is also a kids club if the parents want to go for a longer hike / bike - the kids are entertained with nature walks, arts and crafts and playing in the near by parks....
I would love to return as it is not only a wonderful hotel - it is also in a stunning location....we want to go back in Winter and experience it in the opposite season. Thanks Eva and Mariano.....

Wonderful setting, staff, comfort. Great room, very good food, friendly atmosphere. Grossarl is a good place for kids, a lot to do in the area. Still, one should rent a car while there because the bus connections are not very good for all the attractions. Grossarl is little and charming, very quiet, not suitable for those looking for cosmopolite resorts.

We have stayed in this wonderful hotel before but this time we just had dinner in the Italian restaurant which was really fantastic! The Steinpilz Ravioli were exquisite. The service is super friendly and the wine choice is excellent. My only criticism was not to put tomato ketchup in the Steak Tartare.

I have traveled the whole world for business and vacations all my life, but I have never felt so comfortable, welcome and relaxed in my life as at the Hotel Bergzeit. The hotel is impeccably clean and absolutely welcoming in its design, but the STAFF is beyond any level of service I have ever experienced at the best 5 star hotels in major capital cities of the world. The owners and their staff treat you like family, and I must say, the Chef there is incredible. I went with my wife and children for a week of skiing, and this hotel is at the base of the GrossArl mountain ski resort and convenient to everything. The meals from breakfast through dinner were nonpareil. The value for the money is exceptional, and the dinners were Gourmet quality every single night. The kids menu and buffet made life easy! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful place! C. Nielsen and Family

Room tip: All rooms are great but if you have small kids, go for the one with the bunk bed separate little room in the suite
